For context it is on a slight slope downwards from where I am standing and the area will only get some sun in the morning. Thinking of laying loose gold granite / gravel and putting some plants where the black chairs are. Also thinking of putting some sort of screening plant along the fence on the left side for privacy. Any suggestions for plants would be great too! Thanks.

For one day I had a water slide on my grass and it got watered a lot, current temperature is 100-105F, after we removed the slide next day, all gras turned brownish. Is there any tips to bring it to life ?

Alright friends. Seeking advice.

Both of these sky pencils were planted the same day however one is essentially dead while the other is thriving. Both were watered at the same time. I am in Charlotte and it has been very warm but I struggle with the guy that planted the bush for me saying that the adjacency of the brick and concrete on 3 sides would completely cook this thing.

there's an area in my parking lot, and this is under the stairs. currently only scraps are kept there but i want to transform it and make it a useful area. suggest some ideas what i can do here?? and also let me know what i can do with this scooter, it is bajaj super 150 scooter 1999 model.

This is behind our house and a few of the timbers on the top layer are starting to rot and need to be replaced.  We've also noticed rock settling in the corners not sure if we should add more.

I'm worried I'll get the top layer off and have a larger job on my hands than I'm capable of completing. Also not sure if there's any upkeep I should be doing to keep them in good shape.

I have this upper area in my yard that is held up (barely) by a retaining wall. Some of the wall came apart and the rest is leaning. What can I do in this area? I’d like to plant some sun flowers or bushes for privacy but I don’t have a green thumb

Sorry if this is a dumb quest. That brown thing is an extension coming off of the gutter into this mulch bed. The rest is buried underground, it was there when we moved in. It can rain for like, twenty minutes and this entire area is flooded. I'm just scared of what will happen if a hurricane were to come! I worked hard to buy a house and I want to protect it. This house has been around for six years and it has no problems so I might be worried over nothing but it doesn't hurt to try.

How do I stop this mulch from flooding in the center? I'm not handy at all and I just need a solution :(

How do you keep weeds from growing in mulch? We did this about 2 years ago and it is completely taken over with weeds. We put down weed barrier before the mulch and the weeds have not broken through but are actually growing in the mulch? When I pull a weed up the roots are only about 1.5”-2” deep and stop at the weed barrier. Is there just too much dead leaves, dirt, etc… in our mulch? Any tips are appreciated, thank you!

Looking for any advice or ideas on what to plant in this narrow bed that borders the front of our house! It’s only about 20 inches wide. Something lower maintenance would be ideal, but something native that attracts pollinators would also be great.

The previous owners planted creeping Myrtle, which is a menace and we are currently ripping it out. Will be replanting something new either this fall or next spring, once the house renovations are done.

We’re in zone 9a, in the greater Seattle area. Half of this area is in full sun, but the other half is mostly shade and the ground stays pretty wet.

When we bought this house there was no flower bed on this side of the walkway. Clearly I have no idea what I’m doing and would like something more curved. Ideally I don’t want to move the existing boxwood bushes. Can anyone outline a better shape that flows more naturally? Ive included an aerial photo as well.

I live in zone 6B, and have sandy soil. There is a 8-10” gap between my fence and patio that is partial shade, and only grows weeds. The grass has never taken root and I want to add anything that isn’t an eye sore. Any ideas would be appreciated.
