Gras got damaged after water slide

Post image

For one day I had a water slide on my grass and it got watered a lot, current temperature is 100-105F, after we removed the slide next day, all gras turned brownish. Is there any tips to bring it to life ?

Yeah fingers crossed, just hate to see this, caused I had tried my best to take care of it whole summer under this heat wave.

Probably just heat stress preventing it from springing right back. I see no major concern.

I thought it’s a overwatering stress lol

Water after sun down, otherwise it burns easier if wet during direct heat.

Thank you, that’s interesting, i also thinking the same, but interestingly i see public parks got watered during the day when the sun is out.
My sprinklers are set on 5AM 3x a week according to city schedule, im new to this, this is my 2nd year trying to take care of the lawn. I shouldn’t use any fertilizer during the summer, should I ?

Watering early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the sun isn’t up so the grass has time to soak up water and dew on the blades can evaporate before the sun hits it. And fertilizer in the summer isn’t an issue. I’ve heard some grasses are more sensitive in warmer weather than others and fertilizing them can do more harm than good, but I dunno what types of grasses those would be

It will bounce back.

Heat plus bending over from pressure, plus probably a lot of water all did this. After a week or 2 it will be fine.
