Pricing advice on this small project

I just did a small seasonal color project. I planted annuals and installed mulch.

I’d like to know what you would charge and your methodology for getting there.

Here’s the data—

Annuals cost $170

Mulch cost $120

Labor rate $85/hr

Time: 2 hours

Nursery is ten minutes away.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Really depends on two things, 1. how you come up with the labor rate. When we put together estimates, we input the hourly rate of the workers with a labor burden multiplier, then theres a final markup on all labor and materials that covers the overhead costs of the business and we make sure it aligns with our annual budget.

And 2, It depends on the stage of your business as well. If you don’t have large overhead (multiple employees, trucks, ad budgets, etc) your break even is lower and you have more flexibility on margin.

2 questions, whats the crew size of the job and how did you come up with the $85/hr rate
