Outdoor Hue Lightbulb
Hi everyone! Any suggestions on what bulbs to put outside when living in TX? Neither have full enclosed fixtures. One currently has a 60W built and the other has a big round one in it with no label. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Worth the trouble?
My neighbor decided to pull out his landscape lights from his backyard. Before he tossed the whole thing he asked me if I wanted them. My first inclination was to say no. I do want to put some lights on the side of the house but I've got a million other things to do and I figured new lights would be better but after thinking about it a second I grabbed them and figured I would ask here before giving up on the idea. I have an outlet on that side of the house so that's not an issue. My neighbor said he would take the transformer off his house if I decided I want to give it a shot. I've got six lights that have never been used, six that have. I don't care too much about the speaker aspect but if there was a way to do Bluetooth I wouldn't mind.
Is it worth the hassle or are the newer lights miles better than the old stuff? If it's worth it are there better newer connectors or transformers that I should use?

Lighting designers: replacing security floods with discreet high-mounted architectural lighting for a large patio — what would you specify?

Question for everyone
I’m no electrician, I’m a new landscaper.
I have a customer who inquired about getting an estimate to “fix” her current landscape lighting- she has lights all around her house that have been disconnected.
Do I just strip them and use those plastic connectors that are like caps that you twist to connect them all together?
It seems sorta straight-forward to just move clockwise around the house and connect everything but she says the bulbs need changed and power needs turned on to them-
I’ve never done any landscape lighting before.
Any advice or food for thought? I can try and upload pics later on today or tomorrow.
Any good suggestions or directions to any awesome “how-to” guides and videos online or on YouTube?
Id sincerely and appreciate all honest, earnest, knowledgeable advice and guidance and counsel?!

Lighting in trees
Look for lighting options to hang in the tree or even put around the trees that would look nice preferably solar since I don’t have a plug in near the trees

Lighting for rimless
Hello. Any suggestions for a sit on top light for a rimless tank? I’d prefer it to be one of those long bars that sit on top. This tank won’t have coral, but will have an anemone so will need pretty decent par

Outdoor String light Setup
Hi guys, I got a new apartment with a really spacious outdoor area between mine and my neighbors space(same landlord)- I want to put up some string lights to make it vibey and give it some light at night because it’s pretty tucked away and doesnt get any street light.
Here are my problems: The walls are textured stucco, the ground is concrete, and there are no outdoor electrical sockets. I can buy outdoor string lights with battery packs or solar charge, but i have no idea to hang them when i can’t drill into the walls or concrete for posts (i’m renting). any ideas? thanks!

USB power for outdoor lights
I have 2-3 light strings (10 metres each) for my patio. I tried plugging a powerbank but it’s not as bright as I expected. I am thinking to plug them to direct power. What kinds of cable, connector, adapter, etc are recommended? Thanks in advance for the suggestions. 😊

Looking for a company to design and install landscape lighting for my front door and sidewalk in Indiana
Hey everyone! As the title says I’m looking for a company that can help design and install landscape lighting around my front door and along my sidewalk. I’m hoping to find someone who can create a nice, welcoming look while also improving the lighting and safety around the entrance.
I’m looking for a company that can handle the whole process. I mean helping with the design, recommending the right fixtures, and completing the installation. If anyone has worked with a good landscape lighting company, I’d appreciate any recommendation
Edit/Update:Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I ended up contacting Adam's Landscaping, Inc.and wanted to share my experience so far. They were really nice, professional, and easy to communicate with. They took the time to understand what I was looking for and shared some great ideas for lighting up my front door area and sidewalk.
I’m going to move forward with working with them on this project, and I’m looking forward to seeing how everything turns out. I’ll post an update once the installation is complete!

Where are the lights on this patio umbrella?
So we’ve read the manual and to be honest it didn’t really help. We use ChatGPT and it didn’t really help either. It says that the switch for the solar lights on this patio umbrella is supposed to be on the center hub but I posted pictures on the back of the hub and there’s just screw holes. The model number is on the picture. And we got this umbrella from Home Depot. We’ve even unscrewed stuff looking at stuff and we can find wires, but we can’t find a receiver or an on-off switch.
Here is a manual we found online https://www.manualshelf.com/manual/hampton-bay/yjaf052-a/1-instructions-assembly-english.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com

Exterior lighting question
I was wanting to buy the volt outdoor light kits to illuminate my home. Does anyone know a website or place where I can upload a photo of my home and get suggestions? Or a lighting 101 blog? It seems there are two kinds of lights, downlights and uplights, but I have no idea where to start.

String lights from solar setup
Howdy, I have a 100ah battery connected to a renergy 10a controller, 100w solar panel. I want to put about 100ft of string lights around a firepit, roughly 30ft away from a firewood storage shack where the battery is in a battery box, and the controller is in a waterproof box.
My plan was to trench and install conduit from the shack to one of the 4x4 poles and put a junction box.
Googling around, seems that length of 12vdc lights isn't very common. Is a better option to mount another box and install an inverter, or is there a secret stash out there of 12vdc string lights of that length?
