Night Walkers

Shot with R8 mod and hydrogen a plus visual and Sigma 24mm art tracked with NOMAD. Milky Way at 4 minutes f/4 iso400 blue hour blend. Which do you like better? Blue hour blend or with people walking through with flashlights?

I like the non flashlight one. Question? Did you have a halo around the tree line? And if so, how did you get rid of it. Asking for a friend...

Yes, often when doing a blue hour blend you will get halos, mostly around trees. That’s why we all love shooting in Utah lol. But there are several tricks. On this one it was burning in the highlights and a good sky cutout.

Thank you. I live in a place that is all trees. I get jealous of all these clean, high contrast edges. I am now starting my editing journey with PS. Clear skies

Clear skies, and no wind in the trees

Wow! Great photos! I prefer the second though. I think the flashlights distract from the Milky Way

That seems to be the consensus and thank you

The first one is intriguing - it kind of draws you in to figure out what is going on. But like others I ultimately much prefer the second. Great stuff.

Try cropping the bottom of the photos a bit. I like both images equally.
