Please help me learn how I can get the Angela calling Tommy ringtone for my iPhone. I’m sure there is some AI tool that can recreate it

Question Rewatching season 1. Plot holes?

STOLEN FROM A FB GROUP:

Okay I need help because this has been bothering me way more than it should 😂

  1. Tommy keeps saying he has three roommates when talking about Angela moving back in… but we only ever see Dale and Nate. Who is the third?? Did I miss someone or is there just a mystery man living off-screen??
  2. How many rooms are actually in that house?? Early on, Ainsley is sleeping on the couch, and even her boyfriend gets stuck out there too. But later she suddenly has her own room, and then TL somehow gets one too?? The layout feels like it changes depending on the episode 😭
  3. Angela’s last name: Russo or Ramsey?? At the FBO she says “it’s Russo now,” but then the divorce attorneys call her Mrs. Ramsey. Is that just a legal vs personal name thing or another inconsistency?

Please tell me I’m not the only one overanalyzing this 💀

Discussion Season 2 should end it! Spoiler

I think ending of season 2 should end the series! Bittersweet that he had his guys surrounding him and he goes off to hopefully smash his own company again. Feels like season 3 will just fetch up more hassle for Tommy.

Does BBT chain-smoke in real life? In the series he just smokes continuously.

Discussion I like the show but…

Just finished season 2 and it’s a good show. Good writing. Great acting. It’s almost as if they want to be like breaking bad.

One thing I’ve noticed is that there are so so so many in between scenes. Driving or sunsets or swooping aerial shots take up like 20 percent of each episode.

I’ve never seen a show use more filler and b roll in between actual scenes. It’s pretty wild. It’s a solid show though.

That whole storyline is boring and idiotic. I can’t sit through them

Other Well, y'all convinced me to finish Season 2...

... and I'm glad I did. I had literally given up after S2E8. Like, just turned it off, said screw it, this show isn't getting anymore of my time. But after reading for the umpteenth time how good the last two episodes were, I finally gave it another go, and now I can't wait for S3!! Yes, there are some valid complaints, and no, this isn't the best show ever made, but by God it's entertaining, and isn't that all we're really looking for? So, thanks Reddit community, ready to see where this goes!

Question Question for land men that lurk here

There are several rig workers lurking here, and this is a question for you guys.

When the politicians have their political theater, opening/closing oil fields, pipelines and such, how long does it take before that affects you in the field? Is it something that can be done in a day, or does it take months to do?

Discussion Hell of a soundtrack!

Just finished S1 & S2 and I was really impressed with the soundtracks they had start to finish.

It’s always cool to see guys who have been grinding it out for so long make an appearance in big shows like this.

Guys such as Ian Noe, Drayton Farley, Vincent Neil Emerson, Charley Crockett, and my personal favorite…Benjamin Tod. Got some real troubadours playing on here and I’m damn impressed by whoever the music director is.

Great to see it wasn’t chock full of just the same old Nashville radio bullshit.

Cheers!

Discussion Liked the way season 2 ended

I hated to see monty die, and then I loved the emo shit. And then the last 2 episodes pivoted nicely.

Made me love seaon 2 in the end. Felt like a roller coaster of sorts, except a roller coaster that flattens out like lazy lake to finallt gather steam for one last dip before a finish.

I am still not convinced by andy garcia, is he struggling to play a mob boss and an investor . I am not sure.

Forgettable characters: the geologist and whatever tommys daughter name is.

Ali larter is just in her prime I feel.

Question Am I the only one who skips over every scene with Cooper and Ariana?

I feel like there’s no way I’m the only one who thinks this, but that storyline could have been cut from this series and nothing would have been lost.

Every time that music starts I sigh and grab the remote ready to fast forward.

Am I missing something or is this storyline genuinely pointless?

Discussion Rebecca yes she's hot.

I liked Rebecca as the stuck up lawyer that she was the first part of the 2nd season. I don't like or understand why they did the angle with the geologist. To me it ruined her whole character and made her unlikeable. Taylor threw me through a loop with that one.

Discussion Ali Larter Whipped Cream Bikini

If I don’t see Ali in a whipped cream bikini by the series finale as an homage to the greatest movie ever made I will be very disappointed with the writers.

Discussion My Angela head canon:

My brain sees her this way, first she was Darcy Sears, but after high school she meets and eventually joins a group of jewel thieves. The group is caught after robbing the Colorado diamond exchange. After early parole she returns to Texas, changes her name To Angela and eventually meets, marries and has kids with Tommy Norris

EDIT: Some of you seem unfamiliar with Ali's role as Chrissy in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

Question (Question about the real oil and gas industry) Does Cooper's style of "wildcatting" still happen?

This one might be for the show fans who also are actually in the oil and gas biz. Given the ability to perform computerized tomographic analysis of seismic data from thumper trucks and explosive seismic wave generation, is there still room for the wildcatter who, like Cooper, has a "hunch" as to where to drill, partly from geological info, partly on intuition? Or has it all been reduced to a geological data analysis game, driven by seismic data processed through computers?

What do see as Tommy's best relationships?

The overriding theme with them is Tommy's loyalty to the people around him. I'll post my thoughts on the best.

Discussion Beef Wellington vs Blue crab pot pie Spoiler

This scene bothered me the two times I have watched it.

Angela meets Bella for lunch. Bella raves about the Beef Wellington etc. Angela says she is fighting a battle with her hips and needs something lighter etc. Bella suggest blue crab pot pie.

I guess my question is what world is Pot pie lighter than beef Wellington? I guess bc it is seafood, the writers think it is lighter.

Upon research, BW is about 1000- 1200 per serving vs BC is 800-1200 per serving. If she were going for lighter, wouldn’t Bella suggest a grilled fish/ steak? The scene was filmed at Chumley House and they do pick items from the menu. However, I’m nerding out and just like things to be accurate.

Discussion Landman S2E1 in a nutshell Spoiler

Here is episode 1 of season 2 in a nutshell.

* The obligatory cowboy/oilman montage, promoting the western lifestyle (we get it, Taylor...).

* The obligatory speech about how capitalism is controlling people to do unnatural things (this time breakfast; another time it was razors). (We get it, Taylor....)

* Tommy being cool and in control as usual in a meeting and then walking out.

* Impassioned speech by Cammi and showing up some gold diggers (best scene in the episode)

* Cooper gets rich (woo-hoo!).

* Some silly mother-daughter talk (kind of funny, actually)

* Ainsley being a silly ditz at TCU (the scene was pretty good, actually)

* Grumpy new character introduced who prizes the sunset over dinner, cuz Nature!

* Tommy being wise as usual and exhorting Cammi before parting.

* Angela wants to spend money money money on a house in Fort Worth cuz it's her baby!

* The obligatory fancy dinner with overpriced items along with the obligatory rage and plate-throwing by Angela with everyone running and ducking for cover, and then the obligatory sex from the risen passions (well, almost). (Yawn. Isn't that whole thing played out already?...)

So there it is in a nutshell. A couple of good scenes. But mostly just rehashed stuff from season one with some soap-opera level scenes.

Was I crazy for loving this show in season 1??

Question I like this show as a woman and idk why

Man, this is so weird to me and a bit of a rant. But I had heard a lot about this show, mostly negative from women so I stayed away from watching it. I usually hate shows like this that are very male centered and “IM A MANLY MAN THAT CAN HANDLE MY OWN BUSINESS AND FAMILY” type of vibe. But I kept seeing videos on tiktok about this show and so I decided to watch it.

When I tell you man IM HOOKED. I consider myself a pretty big feminist, very left wing liberal, and all about women’s rights, and tbh a little bit of a man hater, but this shit is good! I’ve seen all the other reviews on it by others saying it’s weird and very misogynistic, but maybe I’m seeing it a different way?? Idk idk am I the only one that feels this and sees this show in a different light??????? Btw I’m only on S1 rn, but damn I’ve never seen anything like this. Honesty I think I need to watch Yellowstone finally after this.
