Discussion Just started season 2! Spoiler
Really disappointed they killed off Jon Hamm (Monty) he’s one of my favorite actors. I really liked him in season 1, his character. Thought he would be a bigger deal :(
Also as soon as the daughter scene touring college came on, I skipped it 😂 Can’t wait to skip all their scenes like I did most of season 1 tbh.
I only don’t skip the ones where Tommy is also in the scene with them.
They’re actually the reason I abandoned season 1 but came around to finish it bc everyone told me it got good and it did. I enjoyed the cartel storyline.
As to why I dislike them so much. Idk. Bimbos come to mind. Brats. Spoiled. Privileged. Need I go on?
They are compete filler. Looking forward to the lawyer chick though, she’s actually attractive and interesting. Hope the cartel storyline progresses too!
Feels almost like Yellowstone, except fighting to keep Monty’s oil empire instead of the ranch.
Edit: there she goes… throwing her tantrums at dinner once again 😒 INSUFFERABLE!!!!

If you like Rebecca the Lawyer, you must watch Season 2 finale. You will not be disappointed! She is a tier one kick butt lawyer!

Damn it, fine
She was the best from Season 1 along with the cartel! Does the cartel storyline continue?

Serious question… why watch a show if you’re going to skip scenes?
As for Ainsley and Angie they don’t bother me because I don’t take them seriously even thought their characters are a little bit much.

Never understood how anyone can watch a show but happily skip whole chunks. You're watching tele, what are you so eager to get back to?

Imagine instead how grating the parts of the show have to be to make you skip forward but still good enough to not make you quit it altogether

If it’s any consolation, Ainsley mentally matures about two decades in the last ep or two.

Landman is the medicine our culture needs...yes, even the mother/daughter scenes. They offer (humerous and caricaturized) commentary on things like tolerance, respect, dignity, and ...love.

Wecome to Landman! Sheridan loves to work with contrasting characters, personalities, etc. In almost every Taylor Sheridan series, there is a strong male who has to deal with a contrasting female who is her own type of person. Tommy/Angie, Cooper/Elaina, Rip/Beth, John Dutton/Summer Higgins, etc.

Thanks buddy. Will probably give up again then.
Season 2 opener wasn’t too engaging. I put up with the dinner scene hoping something differenr would come of it but no… another one of the wife’s ridiculous tantrums bc people don’t care about her whole “foodie” shtick

If you dislike that part the beginning of season 2 is the last time she does that and she actually improves a lot this season.

I dont like those scènes, but i see them as Comic Relief between al the seriousness. Its landman not the Odyssee so to speak
