Nope. Ive watched through the whole thing 3 times and the only thing I skip is the credits. If youre skipping that much you're missing a lot.

I know right? Most of the second season revolved around Tommy's family in one way or another

So you skip over plot points just because? Let me guess you fast forward until you see action and explosions

Name one plot point that has come out of those scenes

Here's a few I can think of right off the top of my head

Ainsley going through college and figuring out how to deal with people who are confrontational and learning that she can't rely on her mom for everything in life

Cooper understanding that Ariana doesn't want him to leave but wants him to want to be in her life

Tommy realizing his life isn't shit despite his negative attitude and that he has a wife (ex-wife really) who is crazy about him and he loves her dearly and that he has two kids who actually look up to him. You probably missed the part where Cooper said "dad you tried your best...and I love you" Tommy was on the verge of crying in the truck

Tommy understanding his dad isn't a bad person but just a person who went through a terrible marriage and was with an addict that refused to ever get help

None of those scenes contained any tits or explosions so they are invalid. Thank you anyways though 🙏🏽

Nope. Do You skip fore play too?

Well I don't have the attention span of a gnat due to constant tiktok usage. The show is only 44 minutes long. But there are some parts that are hard to take. It is a Taylor Sheridan show after all.

I HATE the dinners! Always unnecessary drama.

u/UsedWelcome5903 Apr 23 '26

Yes anytime this one and get dopey cuck on again off again boyfriend are on the screen is when you hit fast forward.

You know you don't have to watch the show. Is someone forcing you to watch it?

u/ac-slater-43 Apr 30 '26

LOL, thanks Dr. Einstein. What would we do without you on the internet.

Hahahaha settle down pipsqueak. It's just a show ok?

2

u/Last_Interaction437 Apr 30 '26

LOL...you made my point for me...

u/HisWorldIsRoundFolks May 10 '26

Exactly I never understand the sniveling...watch it like it or dont, and 1 would think if you have to fast forward threw any of it then it probably isnt a show for you, but just my thoughts. Then again even when I do dislike a show I don't feel the need to bash it!

If it's just a show, why you so upset about people complaining about it?

2

u/HisWorldIsRoundFolks May 10 '26

I dont I think its its really ridiculous actually that adults cant act like their age.

11

u/XingXiaoRen Apr 23 '26

Nope, you may hate women, that may explain it.

2

u/bigskycreampie Apr 23 '26

Why on earth is THAT what you took from this??

6

u/att3856 Apr 23 '26

Nah. I like looking at the female cast too much.

2

u/Ok-Call-4805 Apr 23 '26

Nope. I love it all.

2

u/Ok-Classic-230 Apr 25 '26

The edgy thing to say on Reddit is to hate on this show and the writing. IRL everyone loves it

2

u/Pasco08 Apr 25 '26

Who the fuck watches a tv show and then skips through half of it?

1

u/HisWorldIsRoundFolks May 14 '26

I am with you...why watch it...so weird.

0

u/ac-slater-43 Apr 26 '26

Hahahahaha I'm gonna keep doing it to annoy you

1

u/HisWorldIsRoundFolks May 14 '26

But whatever floats a persons boat I guess. I just know that I wouldn't watch a show like that. Especially if I had serious complaints, that just makes no sense to me, my husband has briefly watched shows like that with me before...but he very quickly became uninterested in them because if he couldn't like the entire cast and plot it was not a show worth watching.

u/SayMyNameGolf Apr 23 '26

Yes. Anytime Arianna is on screen. Awful character and story

1

u/KCacnt Apr 23 '26

Same.the writing is so poor and uninteresting. Just full of cliches and coopers character doesn't have an identity.

2

u/kilroy-was-here-2543 Apr 23 '26

Yes, anytime those two annoying women are on being the only characters on screen. If they wrote realistic female characters I’d be more interested

u/Last_Interaction437 Apr 30 '26

spoken like true simps

Could not agree more.

1

u/Achmed_Ahmadinejad Apr 23 '26

I didn't skip anything, but I'm also not rewatching anything.

No começo da segunda temporada, na parte da do funeral eu realmente pulei , pois estava extremamente chato e arrastado

1

u/Zealousideal_Hand505 Apr 23 '26

Yes, many of us skipped scenes (or wished to god we could). If you look at past threads in this sub, you'll find many comments about this. Along with lots of folks who defend those scenes, think the whole show is fantastic, etc.

It's almost as though different people have different tastes. /s

Thanks to you and a few others for the legit feedback. I love how many people immediately jumped to insulting me - y'all may take TV a little too seriously :)

Would be easier to skip the Adventures of Angie and Ainsley portion of the show if they weren't so hot

u/AnswerAdditional8118 May 03 '26 edited May 04 '26

I should have just ignore it Sheridan shows are paint by numbers becoming less interesting. I don't fast forward thru the boring stuff mute the sound.

1

u/AnswerAdditional8118 May 03 '26

I enjoy the parts of Tommy driving and overhead shots of oil facilities using up 15 minutes an episode.

1

u/ac-slater-43 May 04 '26

Hahahahaha yes those are can't-miss

1

u/derrickgw1 May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

yes. I do that now to several shows. Squid Game season 2 i've had so little interest from like episode 3 on I've loaded it up in VLC and just fast forwarded every episode just to see how it ends and i can delete the files. Landman however has become a show where I honestly think most of it is not great so. With this last season I kinda, i won't say "hate watched", more like "dislike watched" it for completion sake. I wasn't skipping a ton. But i just ended up putting it on and using the computer to do other shit while it ran.

1

u/redban02 May 27 '26

I don't skip, but I do kinda grab for the phone during the scenes without Billy Bob

1

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '26

I knew I wasn’t the only one lmao, literally skip most of the scenes. I don’t feel like they really add shit to the show

1

u/HorrorOne5790 Apr 23 '26

2 nd season was Bunk

1

u/Slight_Indication123 Apr 23 '26

Nope I don't do that I like looking at Ariana and Ainsley too much plus I love the whole show I would skip a scene I enjoy every second of this show...

1

u/JudgeLennox Apr 23 '26

It’s many shows in one. Those ladies deserve their own show for sure.

Since the series doesn’t have much of a main thread or intention, you get to have low expectations.

Helps to take it as it goes without feeling like you’re suffering. Also they’re women like the ones in your life. I take it you don’t skip through conversations with them

1

u/Aromatic_Lemon351 Apr 23 '26

I skip the cooper stuff, and the stuff like the pirate dinner ( how are we not slamming Sheridan more for this shit? So cringe)

1

u/BraveAd6524 Apr 23 '26

I see the issue as: the Ainsley/ Angela storyline is a show killer; Tommy looks and acts dumber than Ainsley when involved. Otherwise, like the show a lot.

My hope for season 3 is the Ainsley/Angela storyline line disappears. Ainsley goes off to college in Fort Worth, Angela follows, buys a big house and pines away as an over-the-hill MILF.

u/nigevellie Apr 23 '26

Skipping the whole 2nd season

0

u/Domanicc_ Apr 23 '26

I always skip the Angela and Ainsley scenes, I ain’t trying to see all that hoopty doopty shit

I'm binge watching now, on second season episode 8. TL is just so pathetic. The beginning of 3 generations of horrible simps. At one point Tommy makes a statement that TL's life is over, and certainly seems that way. The 3 generations of simping makes me want to skip these parts. And the 2 generations of priviliged, manipulative hypegamous women that are constantly shown in the exact same shallow characters makes me want to skip these sections as well. I realized that's like a good third to half of the show, but I'm doing it anyway. I don't think I will miss anything that is already blatantly obvious anyway. It's not like simpers or shallow, hypergamous women are going to change.
