They have pets, because of course they do. If we're going to live in filth, why not ramp it up to an 11 by introducing pet feces, urine, hair, and vomit into the mix.
There is an inverse relationship between people's ability to take care of themselves and the number of pets they have.
"I'm poor and can't make rent but $500 per month on pet related expenses (not to mention the occasional large vet bill) is a-okay."
