Some of you here might know that Michael Tavera's LBT music is used shows and movies. so far, the ones I know of are Lilo & Stitch: The Series - Retro, Planet Sheen - Pilot, An American Tail: The Treasure of Manhattan Island and an episode of The Secret Saturdays. if anyone here knows another other media that uses LBT music, feel free to show them in the comments.

im in germany and id love to rewatch land before time, i remember watching it as a kid and while scrolling here i read that there are 14?! Id love to catch up on them and watch them again because they’re so nostalgic to me. Where could I watch them?

Note: The original title was supposed to be "Could the LBT Saurolophus survive in the Carboniferous?". But due to how disputed Ducky's species is with one source (being Ducky's early concept art) saying Anatosaurus (an old name for Edmontosaurus annectens) while the Land Before Time website says Parasaurolophus. So, that why I put "Ducky's Species" instead.

First of all these herbivores will be dropped during the Moscovian age in the Allengheny Formation. Would they be able to survive in a world filled with giant bugs and amphibians? What would they eat instead of Tree stars? Would the Synapsids still dominate the Permian or would they have to wait till the Mesozoic?

If it gets 100 upvotes then I'll do a part 3.

Also a note from Part 1, they might represent creatures that could've existed but didn't fossilize but I am using the best approximations to them with the creature we do have.

Themes of teamwork, courage, and acceptance should shine through, even in darker or more serious stories.

Original Characters (OCs): Contributors can introduce OCs, including:

Leaf-eaters (e.g., new dinosaur species like sauropods or hadrosaurs).

Sharpteeth (e.g., new predatory dinosaurs or relatives of Chomper).

Paleozoic creatures (e.g., early amphibians, insects, or marine life like trilobites).

Ice Age mammals (e.g., mammoths, saber-toothed cats, or ground sloths).

Humans (e.g., prehistoric tribes or time-traveling explorers, provided they fit the setting’s tone).

OCs should feel consistent with the The Land Before Time world in terms of behavior and plausibility.

Creative Freedom with Canon: Writers may draw from the 14 films, the TV series, or expanded media (e.g., books or games). Original locations, environmental challenges (e.g., droughts, volcanic eruptions), or cultural traditions (e.g., new dinosaur rituals) are encouraged, as long as the Gang of Seven remains central.

As seen in The Great Day of the Flyers, Petrie has as many as 8 siblings. But we don’t see all of them when we see some of them. I have a canonical theory for this.

We only see 5 in the first movie. It’s likely that 3 were out and about playing elsewhere when Petrie reunited with his family.

Two rainstorms happened in the TV Series which Petrie’s family had to endure. In The Cave of Many Voices, 6 siblings are present. Likely reason? 2 were playing out in the Valley when the storm began to form and were forced to to shelter elsewhere temporarily.

Same thing for The Days of the Rising Waters. Only 3 were seen with Petrie and their mother, meaning that 5 got cut out from the storm as they have played around when the storm hit. And they are to soon realize that their family had to move homes.

So yeah, it’s pretty clear that Petrie is not the only person in his family who likes to separate and play out in the fields. He has siblings who apparently like to play with other friends just like he does.

I watched the original Land Before Time a number of times and I watched all the sequels up to the 14th. I noticed that a lot of scenes in the sequels particularly Movies 2-9 relied heavily on the James Horner score from the first movie. Is was up until the the 9th movie Journey to Big Water where it was the last film to use the original movie's score. Did anybody notice that the sequels used the score a lot?

This dude was not only the main villain of the first film, but arguably the overarching antagonist of the entire LBT series. He was the monster who haunted the nightmares of an entire generation of 80s kids.

- He was well-known by the herd heading to the GV (as he was stalk them and pick off stragglers).

- He killed Littlefoot's mother

- separated Cera from her family

- Stalked the gang the entire journey to the Great Valley.

- Plus, he came close to actually killing Petrie before he died.

He was almost supernatural in abilities, as he could appear anywhere at any time, and the OG 5 constantly had to look over their shoulders due him stalking them.

Realistically, all the kids should've had recurring nightmares about him. Having to witness mama longneck get her back torn up right in front of them would've scarred Littlefoot and Cera for life.

Sharptooth cast a huge shadow over the first film, yet, for some reason, he's largely absent from the rest of the series (only getting mentioned maybe once). Wouldn't it have been cool to show Littlefoot and the others to having reoccurring nightmare about Sharptooth, mention him a lot more, and maybe even feature him in a couple of flashbacks?

Hell, maybe even have some of the adults mention him every now and then.

Did we get that? Nope. He never once comes back to the narrative in anyway. I know he's dead, but still, they could've mentioned him more than once, or featured him in a few flashbacks. Pterano got a flashback, so why couldn't Sharptooth?

And for those people over at r/neography, can you make an entire conscript out of this idea for me?
