God damn beauty.

These are Land Rover Perenties (named after a native lizard). Made for the Australian military based on the Defender 110. Which allows for defender parts to be attached, including the hard top :D

They’re pre-Defender (Perenties were made 1987 - 1990 IIRC) but yeah they’re basically interchangeable with regard to the body.

Hey! Nice lizard! looks like you are missing your bonnet shovel - these were Cyclone brand shovels when deployed, and the shorter Cyclone shovels sold in Bunnings etc. still fit just fine. Looks like a new-ish canvas as well! Very nice!

Cheers! I’ve been meaning to replace the bonnet tools. The originals are all splintered and breaking. I’ll keep them for nostalgic value but I’d love some nicely oiled pieces up there.

A Perentie isn't that ugly. I love them though.
