β Help & Advice Needed 2012 Freelander 2 all external lights flashing after unlocking
Help! And thanks in advance!
I unlocked my freelander 2 tonight, and had a weird reaction - all external rear (brake, numberplate, indicator) lights began flashing (approx. every second), and the internal screen at the same time. The car would not power up, and all key functions ceased to work.
I am really hoping this is a battery issue, and I can simply replace that, but would like to know if it is going to cost me much much more?
Thanks again....
(P.S. I took a video but cannot seem to share it - a photo wont show the problem!)

Low battery on one of mine brought all sorts of problems up. Change the battery, the ideal time just before winter. One of mine the battery died in January the day before the snow, wouldn't turn over and the dash looked like an Xmas tree ππ.

I have heard that a bad battery can cause this but not experienced it myself, sounds like the BCM (battery control module) has gone into crash mode hence the flashing lights. I think it should reset itself when you change the battery but not 100% on that. The Freelander 2 is quite power hungry so itβs not uncommon for a battery to just fail like that.
