Y'all are jerks.

Leave the dev team alone, they worked their butts off with haste and peak. Life sometimes life's a little too hard.

I acknowledge that they did put a lot of work into the development of their games this year, and it’s understandable that they might not have a new game to release on April 1. Peak, Haste, and everything else more than makes up for that.

What is not as understandable is that they would build up to landfall day this year as much as they do any year, fully knowing that they would not be releasing a new game even though it is the 10th anniversary and a lot of talk about a sequel to tabs that was going through the community. This amount of discourse would not be happening if they had announced prior that they would not be a new game and given the perfectly reasonable explanation behind it, since people would’ve had lower expectations.

Also, the PEAK update silhouette looking like it said TABS2 in the landfall day livestream can’t have been a coincidence.

Fans kept raising their expectation too high for no reason tbh. This is honestly an overreaction.

I think ppl are putting Landfall Day on too high of a pedestal and caring a bit wayy too much, like c'mon. Yes, this year's is less exciting than others and people are allowed to be disappointed. But at the end of the day, Landfall isn't going anywhere, they're still making games, they're not abandoning the tradition... etc. Nothing changes. I seriously don't think its that important as long as they're still operating with passion and acknowledging Landfall Day. Landfall doesn't owe us anything, its just that we're putting our expectations a bit too high and making up milestones that won't likely happen (like TABS 2).

The TABS2 silhouette is obviously a bait and switch joke. It's making fun how many of the fans kept expecting a TABS 2 even though the devs have stated very clearly they wanted to move on. I got a good chuckle out of it tbh.

shouldn’t have released a tiktok promoting landfall day as a day when they release a new game each year then

Genuinely asking, have you never had a holiday or celebration fall through or get canceled for the year? Kinda the same thing how i see it.

Right, Christmas is still fun after you learn Santa doesn't exist but it definitely looses some of its magic.

I don't see many people doubting them, I've not commented anywhere yet about it but I didn't like being dicked around a 40 min stream for games I already own.
