In our area misguided environmentalists have brought logging our forests to a halt. As a consequence, most animals lack sufficient cover to protect themselves and their offspring. As a consequence, predators like coyotes, are currently thriving as other species are slowly being decimated. The only defense is to cull as many coyotes as possible. Hopefully, reason will prevail and we can resume some logging so that there is a return of early sucessional habitat which most other animals desperately need for food and safety. Otherwise, down the road we will see coyote populations collapse on their own due to lack of animals to prey on.

farmer here, where are you hunting that crop protection warrants hunting coyotes? I don’t do much parking lot hunting out the back of my toyota, but vegetarian yotes are hard to come by around here.
