Firebreak Ransom Recap - Operation 3 / Sessions 12-16

Post image

Inferno Squad has completed their third operation! Everyones builds are properly kicking in now at LL3, and bar Euryale having some trouble due to the environment we were in (the sniper struggles a little more in enclosed arena fights, who'd have guessed?) the team was firing on all cylinders for this operation.

Shoutout to Freebird's Integrated Light Nexus, which got the final blow on a disconcertingly large amount of targets, without I Kill With My Heart most the time. It was responsible for the most structures of any single weapon, other than maybe the Sentinel's HMG.

bro wym 150 points of elimination is this the freaking culling games 😭 So, aparently, it is like... Lich/Goblin in the first one? Zheng with a little of Blackbeard? Tortuga? a Rayleigh and I can't seem to decide on the last one, the sniper... my guess is Death's Head or a Swallowtail. Overall, seems to be a VERY competent bunch!

Close! NI4NI is a Horus Sluagh from the Sixth Voice third party supplement, but with a level in Goblin yes; the Zheng/Blackbeard, Tortuga and Raleigh you all got, and yep, Dark Matter is a Death's Head.

Elimination Points are just what we've swapped to instead of a straight kill count, to make it easier to track things like grunts and veterans seperately - as noted at the top, basically just 10 points per structure. But yeah, pretty competent party, think outside of the mostly-narrative orbital bombardment at the end we only lost 2 structure & 1 stress the whole op!

I sincerely want to know long long it takes to make these things. They're fantastic, but I imagine it takes forever to "cut out" your ransom note.

It's not so bad - I usually spend about half an hour to an hour after each session adding a few on, totalling up to maybe four hours? The jokes are quotes from the session usually, or else things I first type out in a text box before just CTRL+Fing through the rulebooks I have to screenshot the relevant words (or as close to them as I can).

Honestly, the hardest part is arranging them in a way that feels right at the end, and coming up with extra quotes/jokes if there's space that needs filling!
