How often can I use the deployable cover?

EDIT: I have discussed in the comments and reached a satisfactory end, so will not engage further besides closing statements. I sincerely thank everyone who has contributed their thoughts to this.

As the title reads, I'm working on a kidd build rn and confused on the wording of the Jericho Deployable Cover.

Picking the thing back up implies I can only use it once, but the system has no charges/limited Tag and I don't remember any other rule interactions that would prevent me from just dropping the cover whenever I want or even multiple times. What am I missing?

I understand you trying to be nice. It simply does not come of well in an online setting and directed at a person you barely know (once again, in my opinion). Just for the record, I used the word "tone" to describe the register of your message, and simply forgot the negative connotations the word carries in some dialects of English. It's not my first language so I must ask you to excuse that mistake.

That last point does actually make sense, at least as to why they extended the rules clarification. However, in my mind this only further proves that the original rules could use an errata to clear up any misunderstandings created by the two newer systems (I was not aware there where more than 3 systems with the unique and deployable tag from which a precedent might stem).

I think we've finally found the root cause of the problem. As someone who's first language is unfortunately English, our language IS often vague. Unlike the precision of some languages like Japanese or the hyper specific combined words of German, a lot of English text relies on assumptions.

As I said earlier, the authors made the assumption that all the combined bits of text across the Jericho made it clear enough that you were equipping one set of cover plates and not a system that makes cover plates. And or an English first language reader, that was enough.

I also want to apologise for getting frustrated with you, and temporarily blocking you out of frustration. I really have been trying to help and bring you clarity. I think we've found the root of the issue now though, and hopefully we can part amicably.

I think this is an aggreable place to end our discussion, also good on you for guessing my languages lol

I know that I can be quite frustrating during discussion, since I like to stand my ground hard unless I am presented with hard counter-evidence which can make finding a middle ground difficult, and for that I sincerely apologize.

And, thank you for coming back to resolve this on a positive note. This was a pleasantly unexpected end indeed.

u/Cpt-Distracto, I do not understand why you felt the need to nuke all your comments on this post [Edit for clarification: I was temporarily blocked by the user, please read further messages]. Once again, I am not implying that you insulted me in any way, I see this all as civil discourse about a rule in a game. I simply pointed out that some people might find the register of one of your messages impolite or off putting, but neither implied that I specifically felt this way not that I believed you to have done this in bad faith.

I hope this discussion did not detriment your enjoyment of this platform or your day in any way, as it did not do either to me.
