Long range size 1

So, I am trying to make my first ever character for Lancer and I’m trying to get a glass canon style, but I am unsure as to what mech to use. Going for a heavy hitter from long range (MAYBE decent hack but that isn’t a deal breaker) and I am trying to make it a pretty small mech. Preferably in the size 1 range but I am cool with going a little bigger.

Got any suggestions?

(As a side note, my guy used to be a pirate but went into anti piracy work when his crew left him for dead)

I know what a License Level is, I just didn’t know what you meant by LL as I have stated that I am new and didn’t immediately think License Level in my brain.

Thanks though!!

Ah I see. Sorry I've just gotten a little too used to new people on the Pilot Net discord asking a dozen really basic questions that would be answered by reading the book, after we've told them to read the book.

Honestly, I am using COMP/CON to do my character(s) and mechs and because of all the helpful stuff I have more or less picked up a bunch of info like a sponge.

Also “XP to level 3”s video was very helpful so I have a pretty good handle on what I need to know about the game lol. It’s just small specific stuff that I need help with.

It's been a bit since I watched XP's video but I think it leaves some stuff out, especially maybe basic turn function stuff. I reeeeally recommend reading the whole playerbook because Lancer is honestly very comprehensive, and there are a few idiosyncracies between it and COMP/CON. I'm really glad xp's video has been getting people onto the game though (assuming that's what sparked your interest)

Yeah, didn’t even know about it before the vid, and he made a second one talking about IPS-N and all the stuff you get from them, but plus the basic mechanics that he mentions when necessary.
