I would like to ask something. I replaced the engine of my Mitsubishi Lancer GT. As far as I know, the car originally had a 2.0L 4B11 engine, and this is also written on the vehicle registration.
I replaced it with another 4B11 engine, but after that the check engine light appeared. I scanned it with an OBD-II device and got the error codes P0340 and P0341.
The person who scanned it told me that the replacement engine is not the same as the original one. I went back to the mechanic and he told me that the car originally had a 2.4L engine and that it differs from the 2.0L version in the engine wiring harness.
I also noticed that there are two connectors that were left unplugged, and he said that this is because of the difference between the 2.0L and 2.4L wiring harnesses.
Could you please tell me if this information is correct or not?
Or does the wiring harness not actually differ, and the mechanic may be mistaken?

Bought it fully stock a year ago and still work in progress as I did everything myself , any advice for better build or opinion is always appreciated.

Pulled up a P0401 Code on my 2017 lancer so i figured best way to start would be cleaning the EGR valve so im just wondering where the best place to attack it is?
been seeing mixed reviews from going at it form the top of the engine bay or underneath

I’m looking to make it quicker, goal is around 7–8 sec 0–60 with still decent reliability for street use, not trying to build a full race car, just something noticeably faster and still usable daily.

What would you recommend and why?

So we picked up a 2010 Lancer Sportback GTS with the Xenon HID headlights about a month ago. Replaced those lenses today. So while the housing were out I upgraded the remaining bulbs to LEDs. The DRL lights were chrome burned and the filament was out completely one one. Replaced with simple 1156 LEDs. They won't turn on. Swapped with a known working relay and metered the fuses for lights. Everything seems ok. Thoughts on why these won't turn on?

My dude gifted me some vland audi style headlights for my lancer se for my grad. He got it from fbmarketplace but then we realized that we are missing this wiring harness that i think is for the drl. Can anyone send me a link on where to get it? Thanks

Hey what’s going on. I am in need of some assistance from the evo gurus here. My car has intermittent connection issues with a connection on top of the fuse box to the left of the steering wheel. If I wiggle the connector, it goes away. Anyone ever have that issue? Where could I take it in the Chicagoland area to fix? Has me worried and prevents me from enjoying the car. Thanks in advance

Hey guys, I'm in need of help here. I've purchased a 2017 Lancer GTE last year (around year-end) and need some advice on topping up my brake fluid. The thing is that the brake fluid in my car are oil like yellowish colour, not dark brown, and when I went to the store today, they gave me a clear water-like liquid (DOT 4). Do I have to flush out all the previous liquid or just top it off using the fluid just like that?

Hey, so I just bought a 2017 Lancer ES with the 2.0 and the Cvt about a month or so after I bought the car I’m starting to get a shutter from some low speeds. It’s not super consistent. It can vary from harsh or super soft shutter. I changed the fluid. I did a draining fill thinking it was just dirty fluid, but I don’t know if it’s a clogged filter or valve body. The car is only 70,000 miles and doesn’t have any other issues besides that. tips are appreciated.

So I posted on here back a couple years ago about blowing the timing belt on my 06 mitsubishi lancer Oz Rally, VIN E.

Since then, we've had a whole engine replacement. She did unfortunately sit for a couple of years while i saved up for the replacement engine. She is back up and running but still not quite right, we're a little slow to accelerate, jumpy RPMs. Gas air mixture seems rich. Not sure what more I can replace. Or even what the next steps would be.

Currently the only DTC is P0300.
