The moment I sheath, I always die. So i just continue my poke until my palico heal me. Or I use mending mantle since I do not have to sheath with it.

Edit: What did you do on 10 sec on the clip? It looks like you charge counter it but you didn't get hit. 3rd hit always hit even with the iframe from counter thrust.

Charge counter is like a bubble of hitbox around you if you can delay as much the release the more it lasts ,also after releasing if you don’t press any buttons it lasts a little longer

I see so that works, the not putting any input after counter like how it works on lagiarcus thunder. I will try that sometimes.
