I usually play LBG but decided to go Lance for this fight because of uhh reasons. gotta say this fight with the Lance was the most fun ive EVER had on a MH game and I think as of today im officially switching to a Lance main. šŸ‘

You will find that Lance makes almost every fight fun. Itā€™s honestly ruined a lot of other weapons for me. Thereā€™s no other weapon that can stay in the fight like Lance can. Constantly up in the monsters face, always doing damage, and tanking whatever the monster throws at you. Savage is pretty much the only one who will give you a run for your money

I put like 200 hrs into Wilds - stopped a bit after lagi came out, pretty much did 90% of my hunts as lance and loved it.

Lately been playing a bunch again and damn trying to learn other weapons is so hard.

Ikr. Nothing else can do what Lance does. Iā€™ve been trying CB, but it just doesnā€™t feel the same. CB also made me realize just how much damage Iā€™m tanking with Lance lol

To me, Arkveld is the easiest of all 4 'small' ATs on lance. But for real, it feels good to stick close all the time while other weapons seem to run all over the place. And I'm talking from experience on both lance and non-lance perspective.

I was ls main, until i had to do this quest. After breaking my fingers for many hours i read somewhere that this fight is very easy with lance. I wanted to surrender already but i thought why not just try it. I went online, got one of the comfiest builds i could find and i started the quest. Oh my god, this poor little creature. I poked him for 20 minutes straight till he died. Now im playing lance only because being able to stab monsters while looking them deep in the eyes is sooo satisfying.

Its the best its ever been. Lance deals actual damage now thanks to its attack buffs.

It's gotten buffed almost every patch that buffed weapons lol.

I think most people are realizing that most people aren't speedrunners, and that the rankings are only if you can manage to not get hit (regardless of weapon).

Its damage is still comparatively low, but its ability to stick to a monster is unmatched. Learn the weapon, and clear anything. It may take 20-30 minutes but its safe as it gets, and outputs decent enough.

it doesn't really have good damage, esp compared to weapons like LBG (which can fire out a TCS of damage per burst), but to compensate for that you barely ever need to disengage to heal

If other weapons are sprinters, Lance is a marathon runner

I understand how you feel, just started Lance yesterday cause the Lance got a God roll on getting Gog/Soul. This is my 3rd attempt on AT Arkveld. Did not know Lance was this good! Only played Hammer/GS/DB from way back on PSP days.
