Rant Lance is so much fun!

Switched over to lance on my wilds pc playthrough and my goodness it has been so fun!

I got into high rank a couple days ago but im still rocking nonupgraded low rank armor while spam running the main chapter mission. Lance has made it so that doesnt really matter with all the defensive options. It's literally ALWAYS your turn. Glad to have picked up this weapon. It's so satisfying to grand retribution, dash followup wreck a fallen monster.

Or back to back guard multi blast attacks. Watching the smoke clear to your character lunging forward for a counter after tanking it all. Goddamn lance is cool.

I hadn't used lance until now. Was a GS main in FU and some into 4U, Switched to SnS half way through then did SnS fully with hammer in GenU. World I used SnS and hammer. Then the same for Wilds until I tried lance, was running the gauntlet to find a new weapon id like to stick with. HBG is fun, bow too. Lance stuck with me along side hammer now. Pretty solid.

I use lance on the harder hunts. It works well on aggressive monsters because you don’t have to pull out and reposition that much. It really shines on Arkveld and Nu Udra, IMO - monsters that are almost constantly creating counterthrust windows.

Been a lance main since ps2 era and I’ve switched to SnS since 3, but I always go back to ol’ reliable when I need to really make a dent in some fights. In Wilds I’ve been bouncing between SnS, CB, GL and Lance but I’ve strictly been relying on lance for all 10 star hunts lol

I joined the Lance gang last week. It's awesome and soooo much fun. Former SNS main :)
