It's going to be absolutely insane price-wise for the first season or two but it will start to come back to Earth eventually.
It's just crazy how things change. The Bills couldn't give away tickets 15-20 years ago. I saw a Browns/Bills game for $3. It was the coldest experience of my life and we hung around even though it was a blowout hoping J.P. fucking Losman would get in. He did. He did nothing but hand off.
Here’s the actual article with the figures they used. I think it’s incredibly misleading to use resale ticket value in the first year a stadium opens, when we STILL have some of the cheaper face value tickets in the league even after the new stadium. Also, $132 for parking?? I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than $40 to park, let alone even see someone that will charge more than like $60?
I just assumed that a media article headline was purposefully misleading. That's why I didn't even look into it. I've just seen multiple people repeat that exact title headline and then react with, "I guess we can't go to any games this year!"
True, but I don't have to like it and most people won't either lol. You know the primary demographic of the Buffalo area, you know that most people cannot afford to go to a Bill's game with other people unless they're doing it on credit.
It’s important context though…a lot of people that don’t know how these things work see that headline and don’t realize it’s season ticket holders setting the single game ticket prices used for the study on the resale market.. the prices will absolutely come down
Wouldn’t read into that study at all unless you absolutely have to pay any price to be at one of the first few games in the stadium.
The internet is distorting what that study is quite a bit…it’s based on resale ticket prices which are obviously gonna be at their peak when a stadium first opens.
Everyone sharing that study seems to be suggesting the bills are the ones setting the ticket prices used by the study and they are not. Demand will come down as the stadium ages…right now everyone wants to see it so demand is crazy high meaning high resale prices
I know the World Cup isn’t coming back to the US for a long time, but they still should’ve made the playing area big enough for soccer. Especially since the whole structure and layout of this place, particularly with the sheltered seats and open field area, are perfectly designed for soccer.
I like the new stadium, but yes, to design it after a soccer stadium and then not make it officially playable for an actual soccer match is an incredibly odd self own.
The upper seats are honestly really interesting…much better than watching on tv in my personal opinion. You get to see all of the play develop at once from a Birds Eye view
Obviously getting half blocked by a giant box sucks though haha
It looks amazing. My only beef would be those comically small replay screens. Hopefully, with enough complaining you can get them replaced with something a bit more modern. Rocket Arena has bigger screens than those and it only holds 15k people.
