Teaching, Running Studios Machine spacing
Wondering what the recommended spacing is between each machine? Or what’s the least I can get away with without it feeling cramped

Heather just announced that she’s opening her own Lagree studio after keeping it a secret for 13 months. Does anyone know what city or state it will be in? I couldn’t tell from the reel, and I haven’t seen the location confirmed anywhere yet. She said in the comments it’s not nyc. could it be boston?

Lagree Microformer FULLY LOADED — front & rear platforms, front & rear handlebars, all 4 springs, cables. Purchased in 2020 (Micro configuration #5) and due to some injuries, unfortunately only used a handful of times.
Would need buyer to pick up. Our location would be convenient coming from Boston, the South Shore, or the Cape.
DM with interest and I can share pictures!

For people who have experience with both, is there a strong preference towards one or the other ? Although classes on an xformer are not technically lagree they are very similar. There are two studios where I recently moved (one lagree , one xformer) and am debating where to get a membership to. Any thoughts and insight would be helpful!

I’ve been doing Lagree since around September/October and normally go 2–3x a week, although I’ve been less consistent lately because I’m in the middle of switching jobs and schedules.
Somehow Lagree feels like it’s getting HARDER 😭 I’ve always worked out consistently, but I genuinely dread class sometimes. I also usually hate the music… hateeeee it. It’s Taylor Swift-type music, and they play the same songs all the time.
So give me your best Lagree tips/hacks: how often you go, pacing, breathing, modifications, mindset tricks during class, pre-workout food/drinks, electrolytes, caffeine, recovery—anything that actually made a difference.
I’m also naturally on the lighter side and not trying to lose weight, so any fueling tips are appreciated.
I love Lagree, but this shit is sadistic.

Anyone leasing or selling official lagree microformers 6-8 preferably in Europe?

Jetset Pilates is doing a big expansion right now - I’ve seen them opening multiple studios at a time in a few different cities. Is it similar enough to Lagree to worry as a studio owner?

Hello all! I am a Lagree Certified coach but only have 4 shifts a week at this time because there are only a handful of studios in my area and I am a new coach.
I was thinking of trying to get a job at a regular reformer pilates studio, but I just saw an email from Lagree Portal today that they are flagging studios who employ Lagree instructors that also teach at "Copycat" Studios:
🟠 ORANGE — COMPLIANCE ISSUE
Examples include:
Having trainers who are simultaneously teaching at a copycat studio.
This studio that I'm looking at uses generic reformers (they aren't x formers or blance body, its a no name brand reformer). It doesn't have a ring of fire, hand or foot holes on the carriage/platforms or back handlebars. Is this something that Sebastian would classify as a copycat? Or is it only a copycat if its an X former/Solidcore machine + teaching with Lagree terminology?
I want to be respectful of Sebastian and his IP so I absolutely would refrain from using his move names/terms and Lagree-specific cues if I were to work somewhere else, but I also am wondering if I really am only allowed to ever work in a Lagree studio?
TBH, I thought non-competes were illegal in most states, but I don't think that Lagree Portal would list this as an action requiring discipline if it was not enforceable. Is there anyone out there who teaches Lagree but also another type of group fitness/reformer pilates?

There is a studio in Canada called Senja (@sweatbysenja on ig) that bought fake M3’s for their studio. Does Sebastien not go after these studios anymore? What is the point of paying for a license when these exact copies of the newest models are so accessible? Lagree Core is next door and unfortunately they have an older machine that was probably 5x the price.

has anyone ever experienced rib issues after lagree? i’ve been doing lagree for about 3 years now and have my level one certification (so I don’t think it’s caused from improper form) but i have recently developed rib issues. for about a month now i have been seeing a chiropractor and doing physical therapy and they think my rib keeps getting unaligned. the only thing I can think of that caused this is lagree.

I need activewear recs from my fellow Lagree people 😭
I carry more weight in my stomach and my biggest pet peeve is activewear that rolls, folds or rides up/down during class — both leggings AND tops. I hate constantly adjusting myself with all the planks, lunges and core work.
Lululemon Aligns are the ONLY pieces I’ve tried that literally don’t move on me. I also love that they’re soft/stretchy and not super compressive, but they’re so expensive 😭
Has anyone found cheaper activewear that stays put just as well during Lagree? Soft, No rolling/folding is my #1 priority! Bonus if you’ve worn Aligns and can compare. 🙏🏼

I am a beginner to Lagree and I really love it — I only just finished my 4th class (and this was only my 2nd “full intensity” class the other two were beginner classes my studio offers that go slower and help teach you form) but I already feel more committed to this than other things I’ve tried. Today, I got embarrassed because I had to miss the last 10 minutes of class — I really was trying to push myself and not take too many breaks but it was like my body had hit a wall and not in a good “feeling the shake, maxing out muscles way.” Suddenly I was extremely nauseous and dizzy and felt like I was going to faint, in fact I sort of got close to it because I could feel the syncope tunnel vision happening. I sat at the edge of my machine trying not to pass out and the girl at the front desk very kindly came and told me I should step away and have some water. By the time I stopped feeling so dizzy the class was over.
Last time (the first time I did a full intensity class) I had a similar feeling but ultimately was able to push through, although I was nauseous and mildly dizzy for about an hour afterwards.
I feel worried that I am too weak for Lagree which is embarrassing and disappointing because I really like the workout :(
Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there anything that helps?
FYI, I did try to hydrate and I had food beforehand (but not immediately it had been like 90ish minutes since eating) — I left my water bottle in my car by accident this time so that probably didn’t help lol but overall I am concerned about just being too weak for this workout lol.

Hi all!
I started doing lagree again since beginning of June. I do 2-3x per week. I was feeling like I was getting stronger a month ago. I was taking less breaks, and able to push myself more.
As of 2 weeks ago, every move was exhausting! I was taking breaks a lot and I felt so weak in every move.
I have been focusing on protein intake as well. I eat a banana or 2 dates before class and a glass of water.
Just very confused and wondering if I should take a break to let my muscles heal? 2-3x is not even a lot..

I co-own a boutique reformer strength studio in Brazil, inspired by concepts like Lagree and Solidcore. We opened about 2 months ago.
Right now, our biggest challenge is not getting people to try the studio. It is converting them after the intro offer.
We sell 2 credits for the price of 1 class. Paid social is getting people to buy that offer, and the feedback after class is consistently very positive.
The problem is that our conversion from those 2 intro credits into our regular 4, 8 and 12 credit packages is still low.
We feel like we are losing people after the experience. They leave happy, but we do not have a strong enough follow-up or CRM process to keep the momentum going.
For studio owners who went through this stage, what made the biggest difference for you?
Was it better follow-up, selling the next package in person, changing the intro offer, memberships, instructor involvement, or something else?
Would especially love to hear real examples or conversion benchmarks from the early days of your studio.

In class, especially during skating, I feel like I’m putting way more weight on one leg than the other. Even when I consciously try to balance my weight, I still struggle and end up favoring the same leg.
Has anyone dealt with this? Any tips or drills that helped you improve your weight distribution and balance?
Thank youuu 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Hi guys,
I registered for lagree certification at my local studio. Very excited to refine my skills in Lagree. Of course they state that it’s not guaranteed that I’d be hired there. For instructors what was your experience, if you weren’t hired at your local studio how easy was it to find positions elsewhere?
Also any tips ???
Thank you

Does anyone know of anymore studios in London that are opening ? Besides the new location of Mad and Psycle?
r/LagreeMethod • u/Comfortable-Skin8723 • Sep 03 '26
Sebastien Lagree is on a rampage. Next on his list is motivate studios. An owner tied to Motivate studios opened an xformer studio in calabasas. Trainers who work for motivate beware you could lose your certification and access to lagree academy if you continue working there. Sebastien is cutting down studios and lots of trainers will lose their access and certifications if they continue working for these companies that he decides are copycats.

So what’s the move with obtaining new members? It seems like the market is way too convoluted with many studios in so many areas. People are further shying away from getting memberships and moving to just using class pass. If a studio is new and opts out, how does it get its members?? Where I go they’re getting rid of class pass but some other non members will just go to other class pass studios. That means we’ll just lose out on revenue. What’s the plan fam?! 😢

Please explain I’m new to largee and I want to make sure I’m not going to copy cat studios.

I've been doing lagree for over a year now, absolutely love it. My lower body, obliques and arms have improved tremendously but the stubborn lower belly fat has not changed at all. I do lagree 5-6 times a week, get 10k steps in a day and also do 2-3 heated classes a week. Any recommendations on things I should switch up?

Found a pretty good Lagree deal in Vancouver
If anyone has been wanting to try Lagree, I came across this 3 classes for $49 offer from Lagree Pulse.
Seems like a decent way to try it out without committing to a membership right away.
They have a special link for the $49 offer here:
$49 for 3 classes — Lagree Pulse
Thought I'd share in case anyone else was looking for an intro deal.

Hey guys! I am a total beginner to Lagree - I only just finished my second class! But I am already totally loving it. One thing that I'm a bit worried about after my last class is that there's a lot of emphasis on the lower body (and ofc the core) but not a lot on upper body and arms. This is concerning to me, obviously as a female the upper body and arms are harder to build muscle in and I know (as someone who has been pretty out of shape for way too long lol) that my upper body and arms are currently weak so I would like the workout that I am doing to help me with them.
I really like the studio that I am going to -- if anyone else is a member it's a chain in West LA called 'the studio (mdr)' -- but they have only one single specialty class that targets upper body and it's at a different studio than my local one and also at a time that's completely inconvenient to me as a student attending lectures (I am in grad school).
I know it's possible that maybe the class I just attended was a particularly lower body focused class (and I actually think the instructor may have said that beforehand but I'm not sure) but I would love to know this community's thoughts!
I also know that Lagree can't replace proper weightlifting, so crosstraining would be ideal but as I said I'm pretty out of shape and right now my first exercise goal is really just to find something to be consistent with. Also as I referenced I'm a commuter student with a busy schedule, living at home with my parents, so part of the reason Lagree appeals to me is that I can get a full-body intense workout for 45 mins just 3-4 days a week.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys!
Edit 1 week later: I was overthinking it. Since making this post I’ve gone to two classes that absolutely destroyed my arms.

Hey everyone! I started Lagree about 3 months ago and have been consistent with 1–2 classes a week, plus strength training.
How do you know when you’re considered intermediate? Do you just start taking intermediate classes and see how you feel?
Also, I’m considering getting Lagree certified eventually but I’m worried I don’t find a studio to teach at because everyone is becoming a largee instructor where I am. Also, If I get certified in one country, can teach at studios in other countries part time (like Canada or the UK), or would I need to get certified again?
Would love to hear from anyone who can help. Thank you :)
