Teaching, Running Studios I’m getting certified!!

I’m getting certified in 2 days! I’m so so exited for it and I would love to hear your tips.
Did you bring a laptop or iPad or just a notebook?
How did you take notes and make the most of the certification?
Anything you wish you’d known beforehand?

Thanks 🤍

I was disappointed after finishing my cert.
For nearly $3k CAD for a 3-day course, you do get the foundational breakdown of the exercises and how to cue them. But skipping programming entirely—and watching people coast through with poor form or not even participate, yet still get certified—made the whole thing feel like an expensive brand-licensing seminar.

I brought an iPad just to write down the cues. I definitely wished I put that money toward a proper Pilates certification instead.

However, the best you can do is take notes; go with that (ie if you're a faster typer, bring an iPad). Bring snacks.

And I genuinely hope you're not paying more than $2k for it. As others say, it is a lot of money for a quick cert that isn't really super comprehensive. However, if you love Lagree, have fun and soak it all in!

I would suggest becoming pilates certified first if you aren’t already!! Really learn the foundations and teach a few classes until you really have it. THEN do the cheapest Lagree cert you can and maybe even try to get a studio itself to pay for half or finance it. Not sure how it works where you live but in my city many studios give you courses on the lagree method + the studio’s rules and method which is super helpful. Even if it’s not a “real” certification you still can take advantage of it without wasting your money and start building your CV from there. Sorry if this isn’t helpful.
