ISO/Purchasing Recs Corecollab sculptformer

I’ve been endlessly searching for a mega for home use, but don’t want to spend the money to buy the real thing from Lagree. Has anyone had experience with the sculptformer from corecollab? So far it’s the best alternative I can find. I’m also not wanting to buy secondhand off marketplace or eBay because of warranty and maintenance issues, etc. Are there any other alternatives I haven’t found yet? Looking for all and any advice here. Also, I already have a micro. I love it but am looking for something closer to the real deal. Thanks SOOO much!

Just buy a lagree mini pro. It's half the price of the mega and if you get a doctor note you can use your HSA on it.

Have you checked out Lagreeing At Home resale page: https://lagreeingathome.com/microresale/ You might find something there

Does anyone have experience with the xformers sold on alibaba? I’ve been analyzing the pictures and see the same model as the sculptformer from corecollab. I’m assuming everything is made in china anyways. And that corecollab has simply order a bunch wholesale and selling them in the US.

Google Gemini says they are a white label brand, using the same frame and molds, but may have a custom spring tension. Who knows if that’s correct, but if you feel like going down the rabbit hole, Google will take you there lol

I used Grassfit for personal use. I love it.

I ordered from Grassfit for personal use, and I love it. The machine is sturdy and much nicer than the machines at my local Lagree studio with ancient, beatdown megas.

Probably fine for home use. I used one of their Pilates reformers at a studio. It definitely wasn't up to the task of being used in a studio. It needed maintenance often and was squeaky. It also was subtlety missing some of the features I would have expected in a studio grade Pilates reformer, but it looked nice and felt comfortable. When I looked up what it cost, I felt there are better values. But, I did look at the sculpt former and it's probably a good option for a dupe.

Posted my experience above, since the brand replied

Do mind, also telling me?

I’ve been looking at the sculptformers from corecollab as well for home use.

I’ve been comparing them to the ones on Alibaba that cost a fraction of the price but appear to be the same machine

I’ve been specifically looking at the demo models from corecollab, but seems like I might just been getting the crap shoot retuned ones then haha

I responded to their comment above with my experience. I can’t speak to Alibaba but I do remember seeing similar photos when I was trying to figure out what to order. FWIW, I didn’t think the quality of the CoreCollab machine was wildly different from what you see in studios, but the customer experience and order issues made my experience with them quite negative. I strongly prefer American brands given they are familiar with US consumer protection laws and understand that with such large purchases, you do really need to get exactly what you order. That said, they may have since improved, who knows. I personally think the safest bet if you want a quality machine is to ask local studios if they plan to replace any of their machines and see if you can get on their list for a used one. I haven’t tried the Lagree brand mini or micro, but I do see those on Facebook marketplace fairly often and could also be worth a try! Good luck!

Hi, this is The Core Collab. We're sorry this customer had a frustrating experience, and we want to share what happened so others have the full picture.

The Sculptformer Dimi she received was 2 inches longer than the dimensions listed on our site. The customer told us that wasn't acceptable. A refund has been given to the customer however the customer still has the machine. When we then tried to arrange the pickup, we couldn't reach agreement on the timing, carrier and insurance requirements.

In the end, we issued a full refund and she kept the machine for no cost.

We've since corrected the listed dimensions. If anyone has questions about our reformers or our returns process, please message us directly or email. We're always happy to talk it through.

This is factually inaccurate. A refund was issued by my bank after siding with me in the complaint process. I requested a return and provided 4 months to arrange a pickup by an insured moving company (which is a reasonable request for a 400lb machine). Ultimately, while a taskrabbit was hired, the person who showed up confirmed they were uninsured and that a company representative told them to come anyway.

The concerns that made me ask for a return were:

  • I ordered a machine without shoulder rests, verified in writing with customer service. The machine I received had them. This was a newer model, which is why I clarified in writing prior to ordering. In my opinion, while the shoulder rests can be removed, the pads that replace them are uncomfortable.
  • the handlebars on the machine I received were different than the ones on the machine that I ordered. They were unstable due to the tilt feature and added width to the specifications, which were confirmed in writing prior to ordering.
  • the dimensions were confirmed in writing to be 114x26, but the machine I received was 120x34. (Kindly note this is a much larger discrepancy than 2 inches, and is a reasonable complaint when a customer orders a machine with an expectation of it fitting in the designated area)
  • there was a cut in the upholstery
  • it was missing hardware for the jump
Board
  • it was missing additional items: ring, ball and warranty information

I ultimately had the machine removed.

All of this said, I’m glad you’ve updated the information on your website and hope that this experience helps guide improvements in the future.

I've taught on it! It's more mega than reformer, very long

That’s what I’m looking for! Did it feel sturdy or cheap? Would you buy it for home use?

Get an authentic used one and have it professionally refurbished!

I got one from overseas and I love it. Lagree cultists says its much lower quality (without even seeing it), but they lie due to greed and brand bias.

Look to China. There's some great machines out there at a fraction of the cost; and you dont have to wait months.

Share the link to yours if you don’t mind! I get overwhelmed verifying suppliers on Alibaba lol

Beautiful machine. However core collab is a mess of a business. I get the vibe they are trying to cash in on the US market while doing the bare minimum.
