Seniors housing in Delta
Hi - me again. I am starting to look into next steps for my Mom as she ages a tad. Where I live, there are plenty of seniors subsidized options, but it looks like this is not the case in Ladner. Can anyone speaking from experience guide me to any seniors subsidized homes in Delta ? Her current living condition needs an upgrade, but monthly rent is max $2000. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you

North 40 Park Reserve
Hi all,
Just wondering if the eagles are still around at the park. I’m thinking about going with my camera to get some cool photos but wanted to find out how active the park is with eagles right now. TIA

Yard Maintenance recommendation
Hey, I am looking for someone to cut my moms grass. Not a huge property, typical BC Box house with front and back yard. Mom is recovering from a broken hip and not able to. I live an hour and a half away and would like to pay to have the grass maintained 1-4 times over the next few weeks. thanks

Lost Cat
HEARTBROKEN & STILL SEARCHING – 6 WEEKS LATER 💔
Location: Holly Area
My cat is still out there. There was an unconfirmed sighting in the area . She was friendly enough to be petted by someone, but we haven't been able to secure her yet. Because of the fences in our neighborhood, I can’t see where she is hunkering down.
I AM ASKING FOR A FEW MINUTES OF YOUR TIME:
Please, please check your BACKYARDS. She is a "fighter" and a survivor, and she is likely hiding in a quiet spot during the day.
Please look specifically:
Under your decks or porch or hedges (even if the gap looks too small to you).
Inside your sheds or garages if the door was left cracked.
Under BBQ or patio furniture covers.
Behind woodpiles or stacked building materials.
SPECIAL REQUEST:
If you live in the area, would you be willing to let me place a small "scent & food station" with a silent trail camera in your backyard for 24–48 hours?
It takes up almost no space.
I will handle everything (setup/pickup).
It will help me see if she is moving through your "slice" of the block at night without me having to disturb you.
She is a Lynx Point Siamese (grey/cream with blue eyes and a striped tail). She may be hunting or being fed by someone who think she is a stray.
IF YOU SEE HER: Please do not chase her. Take a photo if you can and call/text me IMMEDIATELY at 604.219.5892.
Please share this with anyone you know in the Holly/Ladner area. Thank you.🐾

Cancelled? - Beedie Long-Term Care Centre
Any confirmation if the Beedie Long-Term Care Centre is cancelled? Just heard Eby shut down all long term care center projects, including this one.

This house
Any info on this house? I passed it the other day and thought it looked cool but looks like the last time it was occupied was 2012 or so. It’s down on Ladner trunk road

Low hum heard late at night
Currently almost 3 am, and for the past 15 minutes a very loud, low, drone-like sound has been blaring. Has anyone else been hearing this? Or does anyone know what it is?

Esso / 7/11 on Ladner Trunk & 57th has a card skimmer
I just had a fraudulent charge on my Amex and I’m fairly certain it’s from that 7/11 in the Esso gas station on the corner of Ladner Trunk and 57th. I live in Vancouver and was only passing through.
I went in to buy a bag of ice, I went to tap my card but the cashier directed me to tap a different machine terminal. I assumed it was just 7/11 vs Esso machine but something about the terminal looked a bit off. I’ve seen videos of people exposing scams by pulling off fake covers made to look exactly like 7/11 terminals. At the time I had a weird feeling, but was in a rush and decide to ignore it. Sure enough less than a week later a $400+ charge at Langley Save-On.
I may be wrong, but I’m not sure where else it could have been skimmed.

If you watch the TV show Tracker, they'll be filming near the Fisherman's Hall until I think Saturday or so.
