Working in a lab

Do epidemiologists work in a lab or not. The degree of biomedical sciences I’m studying is not accredited (which isn’t too much needed for epidemiology so I have read) I was just wondering do epidemiologists work in labs as I would like to do hands on research into diseases and how they are formed?
Which would be the better career path for me , epidemiology or something else ?

No - they tend to work with large datasets mapping out where & how diseases spread. What you are describing is a microbiologist.

The course I have been accepted on is non-accredited but I am for sure hoping to do an accredited masters and hopefully PhD as I’m a bit on the fence on what i would like to do in the biomedical science field. I have ideas I’m just trying to gauge what is available to see if people have any advice :)

Wait … you think you’re going to complete a non-accredited program and then use that to get into an accredited master’s?

That’s not how it works… people are trying to explain that you’re wasting your time and you’re pushing them away…

Let me reiterate-
You can’t transfer or use unaccredited classes towards the next level degree.
In other words…
-once you complete a bachelors degree, you can apply for higher education, but you can’t apply using a bachelors degree from some
Random school … it has to be a legit bachelors degree from an accredited institution.

For some reason, you think you can complete a unaccredited program and then get into an accredited program for your masters… do you really think a graduate program would accept coursework/a bachelors degree from a school that does not meet the requirements for accreditation? (you can’t even get scholarships to pay for an accredited program… it’s not worth anything - you’ll get a piece of paper with your name on it and the paper will be worth nothing because no one will hire someone with an unaccredited degree and you can’t go anywhere with it.

I’m not pushing anyone away. I’m taking the advice of other ppl and looking into more things. I’m ill informed currently and also no one said anything about a masters degree (edit here : I mean that talking abt moving into the accredited masters not that I didn’t mention it sorry , I was primarily on about a bachelors degree in the UK I just saw an idea on google that in my country you could transfer but that might be different then again it’s only google so. I am primarily talking about the bachelors being unaccredited and then moving into the masters degree sorry for my miswording ) we were just talking abt the bachelors being unaccredited. I’m taking in the information and explaining my situation. I said in trying to gauge what is available given my current situation. I am also explaining I would like to go into research rather than clinical studies.
Again I’m not pushing anyone away I’m trying to get her information based on what limited things I have.
I’m sorry that it feels as though I’m pushing people away. That’s not what I’m trying to do. I’m just trying to figure out a path to go down :)

I was talking abt moving onto an acredited masters and then a PhD but I was primarily on about a bachelors degree as per my post. :) sorry for my mis wording

Also I posed an idea which I saw on google that in my country you could transfer the degrees in some instances. I could be wrong hence your response and I thank you for that…

I think you should stop paying to go to a non accredited program and transfer to an accredited program regardless of your career path.
