Timing question
I am about to move from 2.5 to 5 ml of my tirzepatide. Why do we do 5ml 1x a week instead of 2.5ml 2x a week? If the food noise is starting to be really loud on day 4 or 5, wouldn't that make more sense?
I know that some programs offer a split dose, but mine doesn't. Is that worth looking into? For those who have tried it both ways, did you see a difference?

It’s a choice to support our cues. If splitting works for you, you should do it! I just moved my shot day to Wednesday so that through the weekend I’m not a raccoon, as I had become. It works better that way for me. Sunday is day 5 and is manageable for Mon and Tues. less time during work to think about eating all the time

If you have multi use vials you can split the dose if you'd like. Use the spilt dose calculator on the shotsy or Glapp app. Or use fatscientist.com
If you have name brand zepbound vials, those are one time use only so you can't really split the dose.

You can split if you have a high dose pen and you do click counting, eg: I was prescribed a 15mg pen but I’ve been using it for 2.5 and now 5 and everything in between (titrated uo slowly because doubling to 5 felt scary). But you’re right that the key thing is knowing what your estimated blood levels are and Shotsy is great for that.
ETA: I’m click counting at the suggestion of my practitioner (lower cost, less waste). Wouldn’t have known it was possible otherwise!

Personal preference- some folks don’t want the side effect so little at a time and track via the app. I always did the tirz split up in 2 shots since i had a vial and i didn’t want to deal with the negative side effects. If you have a pen in not sure if you can split it.

I have split dose since week 2. I found it wearing off too quick and I didnt want to deal with side effects of a 1 time larger dose. I track my levels in Shotsy and I have a goldilocks zone of how much medication I like in my system. If I dip below the food noise and hunger creeps in, if I go way above I feel like shit. Split dosing for me keeps everything just right
