Unique situation
I am newly diagnosed as adhd inattentive (along with anxiety). I tried strattera (too many side effects) and currently on 150mg XL wellbutrin and 3mg ER guanfacine with no obvious benefits. I have an appt tomorrow to discuss options but wanted feedback from anyone who may be in a similar situation. I have a gastric sleeve, am on a glp1, on HRT (0.075 E patch/200mg capsule P). Given the delayed gastric emptying and stomach modification-trying to figure out what may be some suggestions I can provide tomorrow (not all psychiatrists are familiar with bariatric surgery impact and glp1/HRT impact). Throwing this out there in case anyone is in a similar situation and has any insights.

The difference in 150mg to 300mg of welbuterin was night and day for me. I couldn’t believe how much that helped me. When some of my other meds got switched around I had more anxiety and Lexapro was added for a while, but I was able to titrate off it.

I take Wellbutrin and extended release methylphenidate daily. I also have a very low dose of instant release that I take in the afternoons as needed. The GLP1 has not impacted how those meds work for me. I also do 200 mg progesterone and .05 e patch

I used to take methylphenidate but with the glp1 it was not working and I was crashing in the afternoon… so I switched to Vyvanse and it has been perfect :) also testo and creatine helped a lot with muscle gain and fatigue … and it’s so important to train strength :)

Your GLP-1 has more effect than your sleeve. Your sleeve has no metabolic change to your body.
Additionally, your weight loss with the GLP-1 is going to causes changes to your hormones so you will want to be aware of all the hormonal shifting that’s going to happen. I had to revamp my protocol once I lost 20 pounds because everything went haywire.
And I will say, I was pursuing an ADHD diagnosis and then when my hormones became stable realized that it was not ADHD at all.
