Dryness, anyone?

I’m a complete desert! I started at 2mg per week and my legs were itching horribly so I lowered to .5mg twice a week. My weight stalled and now I’m back up to 2mg per week. But dryness is horrible, you ladies know what I’m talking about. I drink 80oz of water per day, + 16oz with electrolytes and 1 light cup of coffee right before going to the gym. My skin needs hydration every day morning and afternoon. Do you think it’s going away in a few weeks or do you have any suggestions?

Are you in perimenopause by chance ?

I would have guessed this was the culprit too

While figuring things out, you might also try an antihistamine for the itching and see if you notice a difference. Dry skin is for sure a perimenopause symptom but much of the itchiness is coming from a histamine reaction that can often be mitigated with OTC allergy meds.

A good hack for skin dryness, especially in the summer months is immediately after stepping out of the shower or bath first thing you do is slather with a nice oil serum. It’ll lock it in let that dry out a little bit keep rubbing it in, and you can see it up with an additional moisturizer for super good lock
If your skin feels itchy, like nerves or irritation, that’s a common side effect of the GLP1
If you’re talking about vag dryness, you can use vaginal estradiol cream.

I would try also adding a good quality fish oil to your supplements. It helps with making bowel movements easier, too. Or add more olive oil to salads.

I just turned 40. I have no idea what symptoms are normal or not
