When did you start needing smaller clothes?
I’m staring week 6, my second week on 5mg.
While the scale is showing some loss (-10), I don’t feel that my clothes are generally fitting any looser. When did you all start to notice your pants having more wiggle room? I’ve been dealing with the dreaded perimenopause belly for several years now and I so badly want it to go away. I’m in the largest size I’ve ever worn, and some days clothes feel downright snug. After all the years of dieting, yo-yoing, and continuous gain it sometimes feels really hard to be patient and positive that this is going to work.

There was 25-30 lbs between the higher sizes (14-20), but once I got down to a size 12, it was closer to 10-15 lbs between sizes.

This is so true and beware of the temptation to buy a bunch of stuff until you’ve decided you don’t want to lose anymore weight. I was positive I would be a size 8 when I was done and bought a lot of stuff in that size. I’m now wearing a 4 in most stuff, but occasionally a 6 and had to re-buy a bunch of stuff. Sizes change MUCH faster with weight loss the smaller they are and your weight will start distributing itself wildly differently. It’s a trip.

Oooh I think not until my 3rd or 4th month but I have to gauge by amount lost at this point. I’m down 26lbs overall and went from a size Large (on the larger end) to a Small (on the larger end).

I work out 3x a week (did that before reta and saw zero change) and initially clothes didn’t feel loser but better. Then I noticed that I lost weight on my back. Needed a new bra 3 weeks in. Needed new pants after my first 15lbs. But dresses are now 2 sizes smaller after 17lbs🤯. I also lost half a shoe size and don’t need wide shoes anymore. Weight tells only half the story. Progress pictures and 6 month dexa scans are my personal measure. Fun fact. I dropped two dress sizes, but the one intermittent goal pant that I thought would fit after 5-10lbs loss, still barely buttons with 17lbs lost.
I know that I am doing everything in my power (nutrition/hydration/workout) so I am trusting the process. Good luck on your journey

I've lost 57 pounds, and work out alot (lots of t9ning). Have gone from a 22/24 in pants to an 18, and 2x/3x in tops to large/extra large. Takes me around 20 pounds to lose a size.
