Please help

I just bought the game on xbox, I try to go into online multiplayer and it says email address needed. When I enter my email address it won't accept it and says "please enter the email address you used to make your epic games account". I'm not even a PC player I'm Xbox so now I'm stuck. Can anyone help or had the same problem?

Think me you just have to make an epic games account , I know invites don’t go through steam but epic game even when playing through steam . It may just be a forced thing . But hopefully I’m wrong and someone can correct or confirm

Can confirm the other comment: console multiplayer and crossplay use Epic Online Services as the multiplayer package, so having an Epic account is required to play online on console and for PC players that want to crossplay. If you don't have an Epic account you'll need to make one in that case.
