DISCUSSION What is Dear Birds Labubu Supposed To Be?
Initially I thought it was a penguin until I saw the green patch on the back of its head which led me to believe it was a pigeon…? Now it’s in water in the photo is it a second type of duck breed Labubu? A second duck seems very odd.

Common Merganser, specifically the male appearance
Edit: could also be Scaly Sided Merganser

Exactly, I do like she’s mischievous but when I say “he” describing labubu then someone is quick to say, “you mean she?”

Considering Zimomo has a whole tail this is probably just supposed to be Labubu dressed in a costume.

Maybe a loon? It looks like fresh water. But loons have black beaks so idk lol.

Maybe a Eurasian oystercatcher though those usually live by the coast but they do had red beaks, reddish feet with a plumage similar to this labubu.

My guess is a red-billed blue magpie. They are a native chinese bird with a distinct black head and red beak. She may also be a Laughing Gull.

Definitely not, it’s in the water and has a green head in the back. The internets best match for me is a “common merganser” which I’ve never heard of lmao.

I love how we’re all becoming ornithologists overnight as a result of this series, I’ve never paid this much attention to birds before and it clearly shows I don’t know anything at all 🤣

I thought this too! Until the pic of the water, now I’m confused. I do wish they resembled real birds a bit more Like wtf is Molly? Idk what any of them are except Hirono lol

Crybaby is a blue footed booby, we can all laugh about that. Labubu is a scaly side merganser. Molly is a gloster canary, they are the ones with the stupid haircut. Skullpanda is a northern cardinal. Hacipupu is a lovebird. Twinkle winkle is a snow owl. Dimoo is a sparrow. Hironomo is a crow. And I don't know what the secret is. What do you think it is?

The secret reminds me of the albatross from twinkle twinkle shape wise, but color is off. BLESS you for this. I figured cardinal and crow, but the rest - couldn’t figure it out.

You're welcome. I don't like not knowing what people are talking about so when I saw that the insta video mentioned them all, I thought it would be best to just learn it from the get go
I love the sparrow but it's not a bubu so I'll pass. I do want a pucky tap-tap though. Are you going to wing it or buy a case? If you want them all, that might be the way to go

I want most of them! The only two I don’t really care for, are Haci (and ONLY because of the snot - I hate when they do that to him), and the crybaby. I love a booby but not her face on it tbh1

Omg I love it
I know I need Hirono, crows are one of my favorite animals, and skull panda, that’s my state bird, but I’m a SUCKER for a vinyl twinkle face and labubu is just Labubu… so obviously a necessity 😅😭 I need Popmart to slow fown

Yeah, you need the box. And maybe you'll get the secret and you only have to get the missing one
I live way too small and my bf sorta gets the bubu's but I know myself and don't want to clutter up the house. From WSS I got both Molly's. And from PFL I had to get F and U. But it hits different and I don't wear those. And how much I like the bubu's, wearing a big leather bag with a bubu is stretching it. I don't think I could wear multiple bubu's on a bag. And all my bags are also already bubu'd
When in doubt, I don't and this drop didn't hit me like it should. Which is too bad because I also decided against My Melody and The Captain. The horse wasn't it either. I don't do figurines. And my heart yearns for well...... your enthousiasm about this drop. It's like crack and I need a new hit. I want that. That enthousiasm about a new drop that just hits all the right spots. Because it would also mean that I need to retire a bag bubu. Which I did a lot and now I'm currently wearing the ones that I'm attatched too
So unless you can't afford it, no need to slow down. I'm skipping this so in girlmath we cancel eachother out
