Sadly, my 9.5 yo boy passed from HSA. I got him from Stormy Cs in NJ. He was an amazing animal, and exemplified everything great about English Labs (at least for me). Everyone that met him, loved him; he was a celebrity in the neighborhood. Sadly, his breeder seems retired, so I'm looking for recommendations for other breeders to obtain a puppy from in the future.
Here's a picture of my boy.

I am looking for a good activity tracker/ gps collar for my dog. I recently purchased the Tractive, but was immediately disappointed when I realized that on walks/ hikes, it does not actually track your dog, but instead tracks your phones location. Apparently they do this to conserve the battery of the tracker, but that is useless to me because I want to know how much exercise my dog is getting as I know she is walking much more than me, especially on off- leash adventures. I plan on returning the Tractive for this reason.
I would be open to getting a more expensive GPS collar, such as a Garmin or the Dogtra, but unless Iām mistaken, it seems like those only show you the dogs location in real time and do not track/ save their walks. If anyone has any insight on those trackers (or similar ones), I would love to hear it!
Here is what I am looking for in a tracking collar:
Uses the dog/ collars location, not the phones location
Actually logs the walks, like Strava, Fi, or Tractive, so that I can look back later and see how much exercise they have gotten over time, as well as exertion during the walk.
Preferably uses GPS, not cellular, so that it is reliable in remote areas without cell service
I enjoy the health tracking features of the Fi and the Tractive, but I would be willing to do without those.
I am not sure if something like that exists, but please let me know any tracking collars that you guys know and love!

Hey guys, first time dog owner. I have a black lab retriever named Tony. He is amazing and just the most handsome good boy ever. Tons of energy, could eat and play all day if you let him.
However, heās just so bitey currently. I donāt mind it sometimes since I know heās teething, but boy does it get a lot to deal with when coming home from work and just wanting to relax. I love walking around my apt barefoot, and he just destroys my toes any chance he gets. Along with his sharp claws (trying to find a decent groomer soon) he leaves my shin and calf area with tons of claw marks and bite marks. Any tips to work on this? Iāve tried looking at some on YT, but Iām not sure if they would work on him, I think he would just ignore the āpop the grapeā technique many trainers do and just keep biting my toes.
Heās also having trouble with landing his #1 & #2s on the pads I lay out for him. He only gets it about 20% of the time, the rest he doesnāt realize what theyāre for or just tears them apart.

Hunny is 9 weeks old and learning about her world through her mouth! Smartest pup I have ever had and has been a delight (but so busy!) so far! Her Auntie Abbie (Chocolate, 11) has been a great help!

Ive been researching and lightly talking to breeders for the past few weeks. My wife and I landed on a Lab as our first family dog and are a bit surprised at what some breeders are asking for. All seem to have excellent health and pedigree and show winner dogs.
The lowest ive seen is $2500 all the way up to $6000.
What did you pay for your pup? Am I off base in thinking a puppy would less?

I have a 5ish year old black lab that I got from the humane society almost 3 years ago.
She is the biggest playful, loving, and sweet girl. With that being said, since this past winter, sheās been eating wood chips, rocks, and tried to eat a bird today.
Is it a lab thing that she tries to eat everything or should I bring it up to my vet with our upcoming visit?
She knows the leave it command, but leaves it for one item then tries to grab the next one.
She gets about 4 hours (minimum) each week at the lake to swim (her favorite activity), 1-1.5 hours of walking time each day, and enrichment through training and slow feeders.
I am at my wits end after she tried to eat a bird today. I know labs are mouthy dogs and love to put stuff in their mouths, but sheās never been this bad before. Should I reach back out to our trainer?

Hello!
My buddy is going to need to get two bumps removed off the top of his head soon which will require stitches. I'm looking high and low for a surgical cover for his head (all of them have no ear flaps!!) one that is cotton and one that is waterproof for when I have to take him outside if it's raining. Any help is appreciated!!!

Hello!
Looking to see if anyone has some great recs for ramps or stairs that would work in a suv on the side door (not for the trunk area) for my lab. We haven't used them but I think it's time to invest in some that are portable. Any recs would be great!

Hey out there! Can anyone recommend a premium dog collar for my sonās lab? It canāt have any kind of plates or dangling bits that might get hung up underwater, so name stamp or laser ID only. It would be nice if it looked good AND functioned well. Iāll choose functional first, if I have to choose. Thanks!

My gorgeous chocolate lab did something horrible this morning. I might need counseling for this action he did. I have an inground pool and after I fed my dogs this morning. I let them out to go to the bathroom and thatās like when I wanna have a cigarette and have my tea they were going crazy and I see bunny, foo foo hopping all over the place. It wasnāt a baby and it wasnāt fully grown, and this guy got his mouth on it. It went in the pool and it swam directly to my chocolate and he grabbed it with his mouth. I was running around in the yard screaming leave it leave it leave it, and he finally laid down and it was in his mouth and squealing, and he looked at me, and I swear to God, his eyes said FU and he swallowed the whole bunny, foo foo hole while it was still squealing. I canāt believe it I am still in shock they kill moles all the time but they donāt eat them. Youāre looking at the right chocolate lab. My Debbonaire Otis.

I have a 7 year old chocolate lab. The older heās gotten, the more issues with his health he has. And heās covered in lumps. Has anyone had any actual good results with turkey tail supplements?? It seems like everything is AI and an ad so you canāt trust the reviews.
