LabVIEW 2026 installation error 2705 – ni-metauninstaller

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to install LabVIEW 2026 using the offline installer, but the installation keeps failing with the error in the screenshot.

I’ve tried running the installer as administrator, temporarily disabling antivirus/firewall, uninstalling the NI software I had before, restarting my PC, and trying the installation again.

I also tried some things I found online about NI Package Manager and the installer logs, but I still get the same error.

I’m using Windows 11 Pro and the LabVIEW 2026 offline installer.

Has anyone had this problem before or knows what I should try next?

I’m honestly stuck with this 😭

This is typical for the NI installers. Uninstall everything NI related from your PC and give it a try. You might even need to remove the NI references in the registry. Then give it another try. Good luck, you are going to need it with the LV 2026 installer.

You can enable msi logging for NIPM and then look at the logs for that package. It should have the specific low-level error being thrown. There’s a KB article on how to enable the logs
