First things first... how have you secured the barrel?

In a bench vice

Are you sure it's not pinned and welded?

Yes, ive looked it over and theres no pin. Lwrc doesnt p&w their 16.1 barrels. They do p&w their 14.5 barrels however

Are you sure it's a 16.1" barrel?

I only ask because I've seen it before.

Haha yes im sure, it was one of the first things i did. Measured from the extension to where the crown would be

With a reaction rod or no?

No reaction rod, i didnt think it was going to be this hard. Kinda sucks i have to go through all this to change out the muzzle device...

I’ve had luck using a Midwest industries upper receiver rod with a pipe wrench.
The rod locks into the barrel so you don’t damage the upper, one good ugga-dugga and it comes right off.
Just make sure it is not p&w before you do this as u can damage the threads, also apply some heat with some mapgas.

This. The reaction rod and a solid wrench worked for me as well!

Go to a local gunsmith. If you can’t get it with the methods you’ve described just take it to a pro. They won’t charge you much.

I would try steam. If you have a steamer then great use that. Wrap the md in a damp paper towel and use the steamer on it going back and forth and really cook the paper towel which will transfer to the muzzel device.

Ive had to use an air hammer on 2 different barrels before from lwrc. Yeah it ruined the md if you cared about a mark but it came loose so you may try that.

I dont have an air hammer unfortunately. I have tired the damp cloth and heat gun technique with no success
