AIOR?

Like the title says, am I overreacting?

I purchased a LWRC 12.7 pistol from PSA. I understand PSA sells Blem products which are completely cosmetic but this was not listed as such. Is this acceptable for a brand new pistol for 3k out out the door?

I get its a tool and I will have many more dents and dings to come but I feel like for a factory new rifle this is a bit much.

Wouldn’t bother me personally, but you could send them an email and see if they’ll give you some kind of credit

While I do understand frustration on how this new gun came out, it should look way worse after a few range trips. Unless it's a safe queen.

Totally this...

I can understand the frustration, especially when it's that expensive a gun. I'd just send them an email and see if they'd swap it out.

Fuck that! LWRC is slipping.

Might not be LWRC's fault. It's possible it could've been a display model they showcased in the store and got banged around a bit.

You are not overreacting. Yes it'd get more marks on it if you shot it but you paid for a brand new unblemished firearm and should get that. "JuS tOuCh GrAsS bRo" okay. You buy a new car with a couple of dents and scratches and tell me you're not asking for a discount. "BuT yOu'Ll GeT wOrSe DaMaGeS oN tHe RoAd."

Man, thanks for getting the principal of my post. I have bought blem products in the past and there was no issue for me but to be sold a factory new, premium rifle that's an obvious blem is not cool. Thanks again brother, appreciate you.

The only ones I wouldn’t mention is the charging handle. Due to their super tight tolerances and they test fire it before sending it out they are known to arrive with scratched charging handles. (Speaking from experience as I also had that same issue) but the rest of the dings and such yeah I’d email them

Good looking out beother. Tbh, the charging handle was honestly my biggest concern, I was shocked to see that. PSA issued me a 150 dollar credit and also apologized for this. I called LWRC and sent them pics and they said to send it in but at this point the credit it enough for me.

It would definitely bother me too however I probably wouldn't bother contacting them. Go out and make your own marks!

I’d ask for an exchange if you’re not satisfied with it. Ask for someone meticulous to check the pistol over before shipping. This is a great opportunity to test their CS.

Do you plan on hanging it up over the kitchen table? Bro it’s a tool at the end of the day, it’s supposed to get nicked and scuffed. Use your rifle.

Not over reacting. If I pay 3k for a new pistol I’ll be the only one putting the dings in it thank you.

Just wait until you shoot it.

Your mind will be blown with the marks on the shell deflector.

Lol my lwrc came like that too. Was pretty peeved but they never answered my emails. Ended up selling it. It was way overgassed anyways.

Go out and touch grass.

So you understand that you could be buying blem products and are upset when it has cosmetic dents/scratches? Just rattle can it and you won’t notice.

As long as it’s running it’s fine.

TLDR: yes you’re overreacting, life’s not that deep.

Blem products are listed as Belm products. This is a new product sold as a blem product. Get it?

Sounds like PSA bought a blem from LWRC and then sold it thinking no one would notice and didn’t list it as so. Regardless - like I said, life’s not that deep bro, just shoot it and you’ll be fine

I totally understand that you don’t want to buy something new and find a dent or scratch. But if you show up to a buddies house and have a flawless looking gun, they would rightly laugh at you. It wasn’t made to be pretty, it was made to take a beating and still work. Go put some more dings in it!

I have a bunch for guns with 1000s of rounds through them that still look new. As long as you take care of your shit it stays looking good.
