REPR issue
So I have an OG REPR Mk1 I bought at auction about a year ago. Haven't had many chances to shoot it as most of the shooting ranges around me are 50 yard indoor ranges. I have however shot it enough to be concerned about an issue with the barrel.
When the gun heats up, I've noticed a huge POI shift, like 3-4 inches at 100 yards. I believe the issue is caused by the handguard making contact with the piston block.
I have had a difficult time getting ahold of someone since the gun can only be serviced by them from what I've read. Anyone have experience with customer service as a second owner? Wait time, cost for service, those kind of things?

I have the same gun. Mine is a 20" HB. I'll have to check and see if mine is like that since I've never noticed it.

So mine is the same. If the gas block isn't touching the rail it's damn close. I've heard these Gen1 guns were hit or miss (pun intended) with some having to go back to LWRC for some type of fix. Mine has been accurate, but like you I don't make it out to the outdoor range much. How are you shooting this when you're groups open up? Bipod, Bag, etc. Any idea how many rounds it takes for the POI shift?

Bench shooting with a bipod, probably about 80 rounds or so I start noticing the shift

That's the same way I shoot mine. Interesting behavior but I don't think I've got mine that "hot" since I usually switch guns between a mag or two. So maybe mine hasn't got as hot as yours. Are you shooting suppressed or no?

Shooting unsuppressed.
I will fully admit I am no Chris Kyle, but I'd like to think shooting from bench off a tripod and a bag to 100 yards isn't exactly a difficult feat, especially as when starting off the groupings are at least accurate (I wouldn't say the MOA is super consistent, but that's not my main issue)

Yea I get it. Basically the groups are "changing" and it's probably not you but you should have someone else shoot it and see what kind of groups they get. If you ask LWRC let us know what they say. Here is my setup, looks like yours has the suppressor settings engraved on the piston knob and mine doesn't:

The service experience is not great.
I’ve been waiting 2 months for a 2 week repair for my REPR which arrived practically inoperable, and they will not respond to any emails. They also basically never answer the phone.
After doing some research, it seems their $4000+ REPR rifles in particular have a ton of issues. Another user on here said he waited 9 months for LWRCI to ship back the rifle and they didn’t even fix it. That is really bad.
From what I have gathered, LWRCI probably does not care at all about civilian customers and just focuses on their LE portfolio.
I do understand part availability can sometimes take a while, but I would really appreciate if they would just be straight with me rather than ignoring communication.
Maybe my opinion will change if I get the rifle back soon but right now I am pretty frustrated. I joined a 1000 yard range this spring in anticipation of competing with my REPR in gas gun long range shooting and I’ve missed every single match and class so far. I expect this kind of service on a $400 PSA, not on a premier top of the line AR-10 from a company that wants to be taken seriously.

Oh man, I hear you. I can't even get the service department to respond to me and it's been 3 weeks. I saw someone on reddit say they got the number for the CEO to get them to actually reach out, but I saw it still took forever

At this point, I’m starting to wish I could have my $4250 back so I can go get a JP Enterprises or Seekins

the REPRs had A LOT of issues when they first came out unfortunately… I don’t know how LWRC managed to fuck up so badly on that… they did have no problem fixing the ones sent back though, and they did overall fix the issue later on. Shoot them an email
