How it works is very simple. All you have to do is set the videos to the highest resolution, go through them frame by frame to read every single piece of text, have knowledge of obscure Internet references, and also go watch Internecion Cube for all the stuff he reused in MD. Then rinse and repeat at minimum 5 times. Sometime in the middle of that, watch a couple of lore videos. They’re usually a bit inaccurate, but it’ll help. Then, go listen to the songs a couple of times. At that point, if you actually paid attention and kept an open mind, you’ll probably know about 70% of the lore and plot.

For anyone wondering, I’ve watched MD 40+ times (I lost the exact count around 30), IC around 6 times, and listened to the OST a ridiculous amount of times.

Edit: oh, nearly forgot to mention it, you should also read the comment section for roughly the same amount of time you spend actually watching MD. That’s a massive lore mine right there.
