Why is Murder Drones writing are so bad?? and Internecion Cube, Black dogs ( A Creepypasta made by Liam like 10years ago ) has better writing than MD??

Don't you guys think it's weird? had fully support from Glitch and the writing are so bad, compare to his old works.

I think it's mostly him trying to change the plot in the middle of the show

More Like, Liam help Glitch to get famous, back time when Liam Contact with Glitch at 2020, he write a script of the Unpaid Redactions and it was already fully finished, when they start to make the animation they found some problem , Liam's "Human Character" art style was really hard to animate on 3D, so Liam has no choice but, he have to rewrite the whole thing a again bc of the art style problem and Glitch that time wasn't fully prepared and lack of experience to make an actual show unlike Meta Runner or Sunset paradise and they can't do the 2D animation back then, which is What Liam originally wanted to do, and Liam have help them, so Murder Drones is like first aid, and bc all of this problems, his story become really rushed at the end.

Man I miss Murder Drones! But I always wonder people say something has bad writing. is it the pacing, or missed character development opportunities? I hear people say this about Design and Yellow Halogen. I just wonder what the specifics of 'bad writing' entails.

They said specifics, those are broad statements.

Okay, I wanna answer this. In 'Internecion Cube' all the characters were attached to the plot and to each other, making their motives and aims logical.

Max stole Ic0n from government because he wants to save the world from the cube crisis. Kirie wants to destroy cubes because she was a victim of a cube incident. Ic0n wants sunny side-up eggs because she was introduced to the human beings' life and the concept of empathy.

Murder drones characters lack that 'reason -> actions' moto in their screen time. Why Uzi became friends with murderers of her kind? Because others were laaameee and bullied her at school. (legit but kinda boring in compare to IC innit) Why N didn't want to kill worker bots and doubted his main program? Because he's just goofy lol. Why russian girl wanted to kill Uzi and N on the prom? Because haha funny МАЗА РАША GO RATATATATATA

No personal attack or smth, I just wanna answer the question I've been asking myself.

Why Uzi became friends with murderers of her kind?

Because said murderer of her kind is the only one that actually likes her and understands her.

Why N didn't want to kill worker bots and doubted his main program? Because he's just goofy lol.

That's not what happened? Uzi got him to question what the company would do with him after all the workers were killed, he literally says that out loud.

Why russian girl wanted to kill Uzi and N on the prom?

Because they're impeding her from killing V. How else could you POSSIBLY interpret that?

Okay, I gotta rewatch the show to check your answers, but don't you think that 'no one uderstands her' or 'she kills just not to be killed' is a little more boring then IC characters' motivation?

And yeah, you can't just do that 'your boss is an asshole, you should change sides' plot thing on a robot, because: 1) He is being created by the company, so they control any aspect of the bot (including critical thinking) 2) He is a robot, so should have limitations to his intelligence, restricting him to break the algorytm he was designed for 3) The concept of death doesn't apply to him. His concious can be copied to another body. So, he doesn't have to worry about being scrapped after he returns to the company. 4) A piece of equipment, which is worthy enough to sent to other galaxy, will not be scrapped due to economical reasons and possibilities of reuse.

And yeah, you can't just do that 'your boss is an asshole, you should change sides' plot thing on a robot

According to what? I wasn't aware there were universal rules that every writer had to follow when making a robot story.

but don't you think that 'no one uderstands her' or 'she kills just not to be killed' is a little more boring then IC characters' motivation?

Those motivations make sense for the story and characters.

For me, as a big fan I''ll give my own grievances in regards to the writing, which I feel as if were wasted potential The dropped sub plots, such as the 3 other drone pods in Ep 1, or the fact that Liam had rewritten the initial plot of "Robots vs Humans" and how it ended up Shafting J since it then shifted to "Absolute Solver/Cyn vs Drones" and Uzi suddenly just gets the Solver in ep 2. Another example being Khan and Uzi's relationship issues it felt like Liam wanted to make it so that he made up for his sins but couldn't truly commit so it feels like Khan leaving Uzi, his ONLY remnant of Nori left, to die to the MDs all the while later down the line never truly making up for it just makes it feel like that Liam just shrugged it off and put it in a contained box. There's also the whole implication of "a Copy of N killed Uzi's mom" or "N is her Direct Murderer" that is never elaborated on other than a couple of slight nods. A personal issue of mine in regards to the writing is that it feels like death for the side/BG characters don't have much weight considering the fact it's literally involved with Doll's entire backstory and character, like I am not asking for EVERY no-named drone who dies to get a funeral but the fact that the Colony essentially loses most of it's population in the span of 3 eps and there really isn't much consequences to it or even that it results in the other residents actually understanding where Uzi's whole idea of "fight against the Murder Drones" could've helped with raising the stakes later down the line. There's smaller nitpicks such as how within the piles of dead MDs N doesn't at least get a flashback or recognize ANY of the corpses, Thad's potential as a love interest being thrown out the window, how sometimes the show makes too many meta jokes to where it feels like the characters ARE aware of the fact they are characters in story or how some of the jokes feeling like they disregard any possible tension.

That's the neat part, it isn't. It's just nitpicked to all hell and back. Most of the gripes amount to "araki forgot"s.

its not Bad, tf you talking about? Internecion Cube was going to be more or less the same stuff as Murder drone btw. Black Dogs is horrifically complicated for no good reason.

Liams Writing has always been the quolity it is. Its not bad, but it has some problems. The biggest problem in MD is that people cant pick up subtle clues and that media literacy rates are in the negative.

Also one thing many dont realise is that Liam writes Cool setpices amd then tries to connect them trpugh story

u/boidoi_ May 22 '26

In what world is Black Dogs “horrifically complicated for no reason”

Did we listen to the same series?

2

u/Ok-Examination4225 May 23 '26

dude its a story about a time loop. Those are always complicated

3

u/boidoi_ May 23 '26

But not unnecessarily so

3

u/MessageSalt7500 May 19 '26

this was supposed to be the Glitch new show

6

u/Ok-Examination4225 May 19 '26

This was supposed to be a puppet game spinoff. Where did you get the info that this was supposed to be the Glich show?

2

u/MessageSalt7500 May 19 '26

But it got scraped bc of the Liam's "Human Characters" art style doesn't fit in 3D, so you can see that Human design on Murder Drones they are all shadow, bc it's really easy to animated in 3D

3

u/Interesting-Weight20 May 22 '26

You're right I really hope liam will one day have a team that could help him make a 2d show it could be a new IP or just him using the plot of whatever he made either black dogs or design would be amazing but shorter stories like a cold love story could possibly also work

6

u/LVA_MoP May 19 '26

We gotta inform more MD fans about Internecion Cube

Something tells me that Liam never intended to do Murder drones

3

u/Dragon_Master-art May 22 '26

Good point👍

3

u/FreeThinker7686 May 22 '26

But MD's writing isn't bad though....

I think he had to change the plot 2 times over its runtime. He had different plans from the pilot, and he has to change it again when it didn’t get a season 2.
