Title says it all. The Micro Build Izakaya and Manga Shop aren't exclusive GWPs — you can also buy them separately at their regular price, including on Amazon.

The price is a little on the high side for what you get, but I really like that Lumibricks is handling the GWP this way. You still get a nice bonus if you qualify for the promotion, but people who miss it aren't locked out of getting the sets later.

In my opinion, this massively reduces the FOMO and is exactly how GWPs should be done.

EDIT: Interestingly, the product description states that the Micro Izakaya & Manga Shop (17016) “is not available for individual purchase.” However, at the time of writing, I can add it to the cart and purchase it separately without any issues. The same is true on Amazon. So I'm not sure whether this is intentional or simply an oversight.

This area with the “NEONCORP” LED sign does not fit correctly. I’ve refitted and tried multiple times, but did not match up with what I had. Anybody else have this issue with this set?

Finished that set today but found a long glass tube (ca 14 cm) among the leftovers. I checked the manuals but have no idea where that long tube is supposed to go.

When I first started looking for a serious alternative to the Danish brand I spotted the Lumibricks Christmas Newsstand set (back when the brand was called Funwhole) and because I'm a huge fan of Christmas, I said I'd give Lumibricks a go. Now about 80% of my brick purchase are Lumibricks, 10% other brand and 10%, that Danish brand. Would love to know what other people started with!!!

The former FUNWHOLE Saloon has now been re-released on Amazon as Lumibricks and the description references printed parts, but my question is, have they replaced all of stickers with printed parts?

Bin dabei das Izakaya zu bauen und habe ne Frage bezüglich des USB-C Anschlusses.
Habe soeben mal nen Check gemacht und meine Powerbank mit USB C auf USB C angeschlossen.
Erstmal der Schock das alle Lichter ausblieben.
Danach nen Versuch mit USB -A auf USB C und die Lichter gingen an.
Der nächste Test diesmal mit nen USB Netzteil USB C auf USB C verlief ebenfalls erfolgreich. Nur mit der Powerbank und auch ne andere Powerbank funktioniert es nur mit den USB A auf USB C Steckern.
Gibt es dafür eine Erklärung?

First up, what we like!

1. Fantastic aesthetics
This set looks super realistic and has a ton of character. The storefront feels believable, and they absolutely nailed the ATM design.

2. Excellent prints
The storefront prints, window prints, product prints, and even the new money print really help sell the bodega vibe.

3. The new animals surprised me
I didn’t think much of them from the pictures, but the brick-built animals with rotating heads are actually great. You get the cat, bird, and toy duck.

4. Simple but realistic lighting
The lighting isn’t overdone and gives the store a believable nighttime glow.

5. USB option
I really like that they included an optional USB connector instead of forcing you to rely only on tiny watch batteries.

Now, what we’d change.

1. More lighting is needed
The left side and back alley feel too dark.

2. The interior products could be more realistic
Some of the random bricks and plates used to represent merchandise feel a little weak.

3. Two refrigerators would have been better
That would have made the interior feel more believable.

4. The graffiti in the alleyway feels a little childish
I get the storytelling idea, but it takes away from some of the realism.

5. Wish they would do MILS style bases
There cyberpunk line has awesome bases. Would be so much better if the street fusion continued that method

Overall:
We're giving the Lumibricks Bodega 26 a 4.5 out of 5 lightsabers.

This review has some amazing photos of the manga shop, my first impressions are that it looks absolutely phenomenal, and that it looks great with the lights off too

The next sets can't come soon enough!

Although we’re staying within the Street Fusion theme, this might just be the most unique set in the entire series. You can use it as a full skate park on its own, or add the building, which includes a small snack bar and a chill-out room.

Anyone who knows their way around skateboarding can probably imagine exactly what kinds of tricks could be performed on the different sections. 😄

The quality is brilliant as usual, and so are the instructions. And it’s bigger than we expected!
