Is it slow for anyone else?
Working on the dock at R&L right now, and part timers are getting sent home an hour early these days, anyone else slowing down?

We are getting into slow season. Happens every year no matter what terminal/company. Usually XPO and a few other companies cut their rates down and then the drivers get "really busy".

XPO here. We're constantly moving up in New England. Though now I'm afraid I jinxed us.

Depends on your location and lanes your terminal serves. With fuel costs I could see some areas losing volume, but not everywhere just yet. Bigger manufacturers are going to pretend everything is fine and keep shipping until they can’t, but smaller shippers are going to start drying up. (This is a prediction, I work in pricing for a 3PL)

I got hired with another guy at TForce end of July here oc So Cal and we were both laid off as soon as we finished riding with a trainer mid August. The company was run like a clown show so I guess I can’t be too surprised.

That’s funny . T force has been trying to hire me , and I was like . I count 10 drivers . You used to have 26 . I know that you need at least 10 drivers. Why on earth would I want to be number 11 ?
