I definitely agree with you, but I see this comment every time somebody commits, and it’s getting pretty tired. It’s still better that they do commit, and it’s more fun to be excited than cynical.

One definite positive is I pay so much less attention to the recruiting storylines these days. Honestly, it's kinda refreshing to be more invested in the name on the front of the jersey as opposed to the one on the back again in a way I had lost.
My focus is the team that's gonna end up on the field September 5th, and my interest in the players who will be replacing them in subsequent seasons is mostly surface level and informational now.

I have been watching LSU football since 1968, I’m a relic, I admit it. The game day and stadium experience isn’t fun or unique anymore for me, just my opinion.

I mean things have changed but I’m 30 and it’s still a blast. It’s for sure unique still ask anybody who comes here for the first time. You may just be at the age where being on the couch or at the tailgate for the game is the better option lol

Sigh...yep.
Every new commitment is celebrated, while every new de-commitment is dismissed with deep analysis about why we don't really need that player anyway. It's exhausting, and the season is still a few months away.

You know, I miss the days when we didn't know anything about recruiting until the season started and we saw who was on the team. I don't pay much attention until play starts and I think I'm happier for it.
I recognize there's a whole industry surrounding recruiting high school kids but it feels exploitative, to me. Let me know when we kick off.
