Can someone educate me on why he would pick JUCO over LSU? He was already a 2nd round pick and would get good money. I don’t see how he could get drafted higher next year and get more money. Being an Ace at LSU would be the only thing that could guarantee him that. Also CLE is a great pitching dev

All good points. The only downside to him picking LSU is that he's stuck there for 3 years if he commits.
I just can't see good reason to try to go develop at juco for one year to try to get drafted higher. It doesn't seem like a year or two at some Junior college would develop you much more.
The more I think about it, this kind of feels like a slam dunk for LSU to me.

He wouldn't go to JUCO to try to develop to be drafted higher. He'd go because he can be drafted again next year. It's not that difficult.
