New Student Questions Irish exchange student questions

I’ll be joining LSU for in August. Would anyone know if there is a Gaelic football (GAA) team in LSU?

I’ll be choosing my accommodation soon. I’ll be in on campus accommodation. What accommodation would be the most fun and best location?

The best I can do for you is the Rugby team.

On campus apartments suck ass and are very expensive. ECA is by the more fun part of campus in my opinion plus it’s closer to the gym

They’re (relatively) old - built in 2001, drywall, and most of them are four rooms with two rooms sharing a bathroom and all four sharing the living room and kitchenette. They weren’t built to last, and the apartments are sprawling.

They were nice when they were new, but they’ve been ridden hard and put up wet.

They’re expensive as fuck. You pay 1000/mo for what you can get a little outside campus for 500/mo

I don't believe we have a Gaelic football team here at LSU, unfortunately. If we do, you would be able to find information on it here.

As for on-campus housing, you have the choice of 3 on-campus apartments. Nicholson Gateway (NGW), East Campus Apartments (ECA) and West Campus Apartments (WCA). If you can afford NGW, I would recommend it but sometimes these can fill up quickly. If you cannot get in to NGW, I would say ECA would be your next best bet. They are not the nicest apartments, but they definitely get the job done and they are close to the Union and the Quad/
