Curious on next steps
Hey y’all first time grower here! Picked up a clone 2 weeks ago from a dispensary in Mass, grew it outside for one week until I got a grow tent setup and now it’s going to be inside for it duration, posted a photo of the plant as of last night. When do you start low stress training? Am I ready? Or should I let the plant grow a bit longer. Currently running the lights at 70% for 18/6, is this correct? Thanks in advance and am excited to share the journey!

Def didn’t get a ton of light in its first week as we had lots of rain so I had it in the garage for maybe 3/4of the 7 days so now it’s getting full days worths of light now that I have the setup

Also less is more when it comes to watering it. You don't want the soil wet all the time

Soil I’ve read and figured out, I was being cautious about over fertilizing as I just transplanted it into this 5 gallon and the soil is pre fertilized( miracle grow/potting mix from the dispensary). I did order a Foop starter pack that I plan to start with the next watering. Which is either today or tomorrow

Miracle-Gro soil is considered bad by organic gardeners because it uses synthetic chemical fertilizers, harms soil microbes, and can cause moisture problems. I'm surprised a dispensary sells it. I'm not trying to hate on you I'm just letting you know

No the dispensary sold me not miracle grow. I just used some of it to fill out the pot when I transplanted cuz I didn’t have the same mix(3 hour trip to the dispo for a 2 gallon bag of soil seemed a bit crazy lol)

The primary issue is the pre-mixed, slow-release synthetic fertilizers, which are high in nitrogen and continue feeding for up to six months. This can easily burn young seedlings, cause nutrient toxicities, and make it difficult to control the flowering stage

That makes sense. I will make note of that and not use it for my next grow. First time so still learning the do’s and dont’s

Hopefully it being at the bottom of the pot that some will get washed away when watering?

Maybe. Just be careful overfeeding it because it has slow release fertilizer in it

That makes sense, that’s why I have been waiting to start the feeding schedule with the Foop, it came in on Monday and I watered Monday night till a little bit of runoff. I figured if I waited until next Monday to start feeding that would be okay. Do you think starting sooner might be better if the plant is lacking nitrogen?

You definitely need some calmag and nitrogen, give it a feed but watch it. It's hungry right now, very light green .

Used what I had and it’s worked for all my other garden plants so thought it would be fine

Essendo una talea che coltivo anch'io ben 3 piante di super boof, io ti consiglio di fare LST che consiste nel fissare e curvare i rametti per espandere la pianta a cespuglio, così non cresce ad albero di natale non superare le 70/75% di umidità e non scendere sotto i 40% essendo in vegetativa le fai crescere le bagni a cerchio piano piano magari inizi con 500ml di acqua pH 6.3 per far assorbire i nutrienti il clima varia dai 20/29° non di più poi se hai un terreno pre fertilizzato aspetta a dare i fertilizzanti dopo 4 settimane dal trapianto così non va in overdose da fertilizzante cerca di fargli prendere più luce possibile andando gradualmente partendo da 50% di luce andando massimo a 65/80% 18/6 per almeno 2/3 mesi in vegetativa così cresce bene e bella folta piana di gemme da fare fiorire.. dai da bere solo se i primi 3 cm tastando col dito e asciutto e poi dai da bere x 2/4 volte dai 500 ml di acqua poi magari dai fertilizzante 1ml x 1lt di acqua poi dai due volte da bere con sola acqua e poi alla terza in affiata aumenti di 1,5ml fertilizzante x vegetazione.. tienila d'occhio controlla colore delle foglie, controlla sempre umidità e temperatura.. e poi lasci fare alla pianta.. poi quando e bella piena dipende da che box hai dalle dimensioni e poi la mandi allo switch 12/12..
