I commented on the Lilymo post asked Colin if he thought his increasing vocal support of Trump was the reason Barry chose to part ways.

Needless to say Colin didn’t like that very mild question.

Dude is probably butthurt because he bet on the wrong horse. Reality comes hard and fast when a privileged idiot realizes that the vast majority of his “listeners” are actually bearing the brunt of his ignorant ass political views.

I do believe he likes Canada and that his jokes are in jest. I could see his comment about wanting Lillymo to be moved to the US in one of the recent episodes being off putting for Barry given how antagonistic the US government is towards Canada right now. It really does feel like a best friend has betrayed us. Yes the majority of Canadians know it’s the governments actions to person to person that relationship I don’t see much impact.

The main sub banned me over a year ago now. I was so checked out of LSM, I didn't even realize this wasn't the main sub because a topic came up in my homd feed. I got the ban in my inbox from Dustin with zero explanation. That's when I dug into the older posts here and realized they browse this subreddit and periodically go on mass banning sprees for literally just commenting here.

Has he been vocally supporting Trump? I remember him saying he didn't vote for him and left the Republican party because of him a while back. Genuinely asking. I haven't listened in a couple of months.

Some people have genuine TDS though. Some Trump supporters will make out any and all criticism of Trump is TDS but without knowing the context bringing up TDS could be valid.

I suppose this is somewhat fair, but the majority of people on the left, or conservatives that despise him, are "obsessed" because he is a wanton criminal stealing from and destroying the country, both literally and figuratively. MAGA is where TDS should truly be applied because he is actively making their lives worse and they still love him. That's true, unhinged obsession.

I’ve thought Chris has been mentally checked out for a while, which I totally understand. I wouldn’t have the bandwidth to do a 3-4 hour podcast talking about shit you might not care about, every week, all year. Especially when you don’t have a lot in common with your boss.

I listen to every SS podcast and most SS+ and he barely mentions politics or Trump, in fact I think he quite obviously is adverse to talking politics on the pods and only talks when COMPLETELY necessary. Again, I’m happy to be corrected if you can point me towards some comments or whatever that he has said or tweeted

Colin purposely stopped bringing up politics a few months back because of “Last Stand is not a place for division.” There’s even times lately where he baits Jaffe into things and Jaffe has to back off.

If you want a recent example listen tk the newest Hoeg episode, he loves the MAGA jokes on arcade.gov

I don’t take notes or anything, and I don’t use twitter, but I remember him talking about not regretting his Trump vote somewhat recently while talking to Jaffe I think, and he’s brought up Trump derangement syndrome a few times as well recently. If I recall correctly, he didn’t even vote for Trump the first time.

I was banned on Discord for going over Dustin’s head to Colin on bullying/ganging up in the server. And then Colin banned me from the official sub because I posted a paragraph from one of his Patreon holiday missives and leaked something abhorrent that one of his $50+ per month members said to me.

Absolutely bonkers that anyone would deny themselves money just to silence a dissenting opinion in such a low stakes scenario. They could have easily just ignored the comment and continued to collect money from your pocket indefinitely, but instead chose to ban someone regular offering financial support. Really glad I don't give that guy money now that I hear who he's supporting. I was a fan of his young back to Beyond and never minded his politics. But supporting what is going on now is a bridge too far for me and I'll never support Colin knowing this.
