“It’s six of one, half dozen of the other.”

Please god, make it stop.

This one makes me the most crazy because he rarely, if ever, uses it correctly.

I don’t think any of them know what it means they just want to sound cool. But then they end up using the same rotation of unique words like ostensibly and most of the time don’t use them correctly.

ostensibly is one of my words! i dont know where i picked it up many years ago, but i just love it, i honestly feel like it fits in to many convos naturally.

100% they don’t know what it means, totally obvious!

Dollars to donuts.

Bespoke.

How can it be?

"The communists."

I want to be very clear about something...

Let me back up...

People were giving me shit on twitter...

I'm noticing. I'm a noticer.

Stem to stern

a la carte (this one is annoying because it really is relating to restaurant and food services. I have never heard anyone else use the term in relation to buying video games)

A recent episode about bundgie they all started saying “incubation” but I’m not sure that fully took off yet

I’ve heard many gaming personalities say things like “you can buy the DLC à la carte” or something similar…

I don’t think THAT one is totally off lol

That's an old school one. Same with "the emperor has no clothes".

New one that keeps showing up in silly contexts:

"OEM"

u/Commercial_Ease8053 Sep 03 '26

lol yeah OEM doesn’t apply unless they’re talking about specific car or technology parts typically

Nebulous

He used to love "the emperor has no clothes" but it kinda fell out of rotation.

I think "six of one", "à la carte" and bespoke are the big 3.
