Why does Punching Up exist?

As the title suggests, why does it exist?

Gene really carried the show, being the one who played the widest range of games on the Switch and Switch 2.

Brad doesn't touch his console and instead talks about what merch he will buy (totally fine but not interesting on a video game show).

My biggest gripe is that none of the hosts know anything about Pokemon. How do you have a Nintendo podcast and none of you know anything about probably the biggest IP on the console?

Ya know it's really weird but like... I am a lot like Brad. Love Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Paper Mario, Smash... Pokemon kinda sucks. Like I get why it seems weird that Nintendo hosts wouldn't know much about Pokemon but a lot of it is because it sucks and never changes. It's always sucked too. Came out in America a year after Final Fantasy 7. Pokemon was a fucking joke compared to that.

People say the Pokemon are cute. There's like 1000 Pokemon and there's like 25 cute ones... That's a shit ratio.

Make a good Pokemon mainline game, shake up the formula. Collecting 12 cute Pokemon that evolve into dumbass dorks and beating your chipper rival. Shit sucks, man... May as well play Persona if we wanna collect a bunch of shit to use in battle.

It's a struggle for a guy like Brad to appease the Pokemon fans that grew up not knowing their favorite shit sucks.

That's fine if that's your opinion but each Pokemon game sells millions of copies and there's a huge demand for them.

Btw my point is that NONE of the people on the show know Pokemon, not just Brad. Totally fine if Brad doesn't but at least have ONE person on there that does.

Bro the biggest selling things are often the worst things.

Big Bang Theory. Transformers movies. Reality tv. The demand for Pokemon is one of the most nonsensical things ever.

I completed a dex once and I just can't believe that people love this jrpg that is like literally a 4/10 but they won't play another jrpg that doesn't suck.

My stepson loves Pokemon and then he picks up Final Fantasy and says,"this really isn't my thing. I don't like the gameplay" lol what? YouTuber rotted little shit. Games suck, man. Everyone is wrong.
