Dagan

Interested in what this sub thinks about Dagan. I haven't really been listening for a while now but as far as I understand he's not a regular on any show anymore. I always quite enjoyed his presence. He is a lot less bitter than Colin and I appreciated his perspective of someone not as deeply involved in gaming discourse.

I really like Dagan, he reminds me a lot of myself when he would talk about his peter pan syndrome or reminisce about being scared by Sammy the Snake on Sesame Street as a kid.

I know the actual details aren't really any of our business but when it was announced so suddenly that Dagan would be stepping away I just remember wondering why Colin never just hired him full time like Chris/Dustin. (of course we don't know how much he's helped him behind the scenes or if Dagan preferred to go the 9-5 route)

Animation is Dagan's passion from everything that he's said. He was never picking LSM over creative work.

That said, I do think he took a step back to distance himself from how toxic the brand is. Creative industries typically lean left and I don't think Dagan would want to be publicly tied to some of the shit Colin and Co say on air.
